This is a standard-issue, so-called luxury hotel. The room was large by European city hotel standards. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom modern. And both room and bathroom were clean and well-maintained. Daily service of the room was good. The hotel dining room where we ate late one night was also good, and the service outstanding. Otherwise, the service was...

The location can not be better. It is opposite to the Opera house and in the heart of Vienna. Next to the tram and metro line. I heard about the hotel from the Starwood alliance, and was very pleased. The hotel has old Vienna charm. The rooms are quite spacious and luxurious. The bathroom was beautiful. Enjoyed my stay and...

Guest room: spacious nice classical design (note room booked is one category below suite, and thus relatively large size). The hotel is a classical design hotel and quite old but is nice...

The hotel is in excellent location with walking distance to everything in town, the music hall, shopping center, museums, outside the hotel around 100 meters away there's also a bicycle stand where you can rent a bicycle for the day to tour around town. I arrived Vienna on a Sunday and Air France lost my luggages, the hotel concierge told...

This is a classic grand hotel situated right next to the Opera House. We found the comfort level, the accomodation and the service just excellent. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. This may not be the hotel for those that seek the most modern facilities but for a couple get away it is just perfect. We enjoyed the breakfast...

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
