Stayed here on a spur of the moment trip so no pre booking. Beautiful hotel from start to finish. Great staff too. The room was spotless and well appointed, Individual quilts on the double bed a nice little idea, great linen. Nice buffet breakfast, and a very reasonable rate for what you get.

Been a disappointment since arriving at the hotel arrived early so accepted the rooms would not be ready so checked in and left our baggage at the hotel after giving over 2 passports to reception he only gave us 1 back and argued with us saying he had given both back to find it on his desk. The Grand Hotel in Vienna is centrally located and beautiful with very professional staff. Guests receive world class service. The bedroom walls are lined with silk, the bathrooms are solid marble, the toiletries are designer and champagne is served at breakfast. This hotel isn't cheap, but if you want to be treated like royalty on holiday this is the place...

What a great place. Really lovely rooms. Great staff. One tiny drawback - our room looked inwards onto a less than picturesque view. However, we didn't mind, the beds were really comfy and the cleaners did a great job. We also had some small confusion over whether we had booked breakfast or not, and the front of house manager sorted...

I was not sure that I was going to enjoy going to Vienna and seeing the Christmas markets; but we had a great time. This hotel helped; it was in a lovely location and they looked after us very well. The room was clean and furnished very nicely. There were only 2 things that were slight detractions; firstly the shower...

Very friendly staff, clean rooms and perfect breakfast. Good location. Cigar bar is excellent but understaffed during a day. Live music during evenings. Annoying internet connection-you should login every time.

There's very little wrong with the Grand Hotel Wien. For starters, it's a charming old building, located literally at the edge of the Innere Stadt. It's a moment's walk from the Karlsplatz hub for public transport, a brief stroll from Stephansplatz and a leisurely walk away from Hofburg. But the location isn't the only thing going for it. The rooms...

Very Nice restaurant. Had a 3 course meny. Very good food, and not to expensive. Nice staff. Exlusive surroundings. Many nice shops nearby. I will come back. Do not recommend the restaurant for small children.

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
