Second time in this hotel and still very satisfy with room, service and overall experience. Decided for Junior Suite with view and can recommend. Bathroom with TV in mirror so you dont miss your sport while in bath. Delicious breakfast, sweet treats as welcome surprise. No paper info in room, everything you find in tablet - during night I recommend to put it down on screen otherwise you will be waken every minute with swiching on of this device. Amazing stuff that can arrange everything. Spa - due to Corona situation sauna was closed but you can use gym or order a treatment. Nice premises. Only negativum - when travelling by car and hotel park your car in their garages you cant get your car out of the “opening” hours. We wanted to drive thru city after 8PM and because garage was “closed” we cannot get the car for our night drive unfortunatelly.

We have visited the Sacher before to sample their chocolate and their coffee, and my wife and I said that next time we are in Vienna, we will stay at the Sacher.

Well, we were not disappointed. The hotel is pure luxury in every possible way. As soon as you approach the hotel, are greeted outside and have your suitcases taken away, you know you are in for a treat.
Check-in was a breeze, and we were shown around the hotel, then up to our very big room.

We were lucky to have a view of the Opera House, through the big windows. The room was huge, with a bathroom with separate toilet/shower, which were of a good size, lots of marble and mirrors everywhere, with the chocolate soaps and creams proudly on display!

The bed is one of the most comfortable hotel beds we have ever slept in. You lay down and you are enveloped in pure luxury!

The room was spotlessly clean and no attention to detail was spared.

The hotel is beautiful, lots of different places to chill or eat or drink, but the highlight for us was the staff. Every person we passed would either stop to open doors or wave a hello, or asked how we were getting on. Very, very attentive in every way.

We had dinner at the Rote bar, which is a very intimate dining experience, and the food was delicious.

There is a spa upstairs too, with various steam rooms and chill areas, again, beautifully maintained.

Breakfast is just exquisite. There is no other word for it! There is a huge choice of cold cuts, cheeses, pastries, breads, fruit, drinks and even cakes. There is of course, a hot bar, so you can order a cooked breakfast while you are enjoying your fresh pastries and coffee.

The only regret we had, we were booked on an early flight out the next morning, and we don't feel we had enough time to fully enjoy the hotel, but next time we will plan better.

Thank you everyone at the Sacher

G and C

This was my third stay at the Sacher in Vienna over the years. Unlike many classic hotels, the Sacher has maintained the quality of its decor and finishes immaculately throughout the common areas and within the rooms. We enjoyed four nights in a junior suite on a corner of the 4th floor (Barber of Seville suite), which was spacious, well appointed, quiet, and had the most comfortable beds, as well as a spacious bathroom. Service at the Sacher is on par with the finest international hotels: The incredibly helpful, professional, and experienced Concierge staff handled everything for us from arranging to have our rental car delivered to the hotel to finding a 25 meter pool for my husband's work outs; Servers at breakfast and housekeeping were equally professional and personable. The breakfast buffet was extensive and not lacking in anything, and was supplemented by a menu offering a generous number of specialty egg options. Dinner at the Red (Rote) Bar was also excellent and is highly recommended; staff there are fabulous and quite understanding of what it takes to serve a first rate, well timed dinner, and still get you out to the Opera on time (note that despite it's name, Rote Bar is actually a place for dining, not a bar). I would only stay at the Sacher Hotel in Vienna.

The moment you step into this place you feel at home....not like the long queues of punters seeking a meal in the cafe, lined up on the street.

An age away from today the place was built and has so much of that still going for it.

The lobby is small and cosy, the reception coiers again!

The rooms are quite spacious and the showers are full rain showers..

We had breakfast included and the meals were great with a buffet and eggs cooked fresh....and nothing was an issue for the staff.

The place is famous for its torte (Chocolate cake) for breakfast and whilst it is pretty good, it gets even better when washed down wiht champagne for breakfast.

A group of friends (couples) all booked a trip to Austria for the Vienna Philharmonic White Tie ball in mid January. We chose to stay as a group at The Sacher Hotel and it was, without a doubt, the most memorable hotel experience I’ve ever had (and I’ve had quite a few!). Of course it’s luxurious, but what I think I found so amazing and unexpected, was the customer service- it actually felt like we were someone’s guests. We were always greeted with the warmest smiles, every request was answered within minutes, and the room service was the quickest I’ve ever experienced. We dined at the hotel’s restaurant one evening and the Cafe multiple times… and I don’t think I’ve ever been so sad to checkout of a hotel. Every member of our party agreed and my husband and I absolutely plan to come back with our children in the near future. If you’re going to Vienna, you must experience this hotel for yourself!

Hotel Sacher was a beautiful, classic Viennese hotel to stay at. There was so much history at the hotel and it was in the center of town which was great. Being next to the opera house and the palace gardens had a very romantic feel about it. I’m glad we didn’t stay near the cathedral, which was much more filled with tourists. It was also great to be able to try the famous Sacher torte easily at the hotel - it was definitely worth the hype and it was nice not having to wait in a line since we were hotel guests. My only complaint with this hotel is the king bed came with two individual twin duvets, which was very unusual and uncomfortable. I’d recommend the hotel switching to one large duvet for the bed instead. Saying that, we only stayed for a short period of time so we didn’t bother asking for extra duvets because of that.

Hotel Sacher was excellent in every way!

The outstanding, caring, and proactive staff delivered high service levels consistently during our three-night stay.

The rooms, bars, and common areas were very well kept and the food quality was exceptional. Valet parking was easy and reasonable cost.

The staff made superb recommendations and reservations for area restaurants and pointed out key attractions throughout Vienna. The Hotel Sacher’s central location is perfect for tourists.

The Hotel Sacher will be our ‘go to’ place to stay when we return to Vienna!

The small hotel was rather difficult to navigate but the immediate service past line into the attached famous sacher restaurant was nice. However, the front desk needs some serious work! I was treated VERY rudely not once but THREE times! We arrived late evening and it took the man 45 minutes to figure out how to check us in when all I wanted was to just go to sleep.. The following day I was out touring the city and upon returning the front doorman would not let me in saying it was for guests only. I am a polished female accustomed to high end service. I told him twice that I was a guest at the hotel and until the front desk person that recognized me from that morning saw what was happening and had the man let me in I was betting humiliated and extremely irritated. I couldn’t believe that would happen. The third time was from the housekeeping helpers acting very short and rushed with my request for more water bottles and assistance with storing luggage. Will not be returning!

I cannot say enough positive things about our stay at Sacher last week. I've never written a review for a hotel before but felt compelled to come here and say if you can swing the price, absolutely choose this hotel. You will not regret it. The service is next level. The rooms are gorgeous, every single person who works there goes above and beyond, the breakfast was incredible (some of the best food we had in Vienna was at the hotel), they made it very special for my 6-year-old daughter who was with us AND it's close to everything. Don't skip a cocktail in the Blue Bar either! We never wanted to leave!

This is truly one of the best hotels in Europe. The overall setting from the lobby to the room is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms have very high ceilings furnished with antique furniture and paintings, but at the same time modern with a TV in the bathroom and a control tablet. But perhaps the biggest plus is the service. even though I had a problem with the room the staff responded immediately and made sure everything was fine.
Breakfast is also up to par with a wide range of buffets and an ordering menu with a large selection of coffees and of course the irresistible Sachertorte.
