I stayed at the Sacher for 3 nights on 7-10th December for a pre-Christmas break to Vienna with my Mum. The check in process was seamless, and I was delighted to discover we had been upgraded to a better room category - I had booked a deluxe and we were given a top deluxe room. Our view was non descript...

Dear Reviewer, Thank you very much for your positive feedback. I will share your comments with our team, who I am certain will be encouraged by your remarks. Due to a last minute room change, which was caused by the upgrade to a higher room category, our staff did not manage to transfer the welcome amenities to your room in...

This is one of the great hotels of Europe - tradition, quality, service, atmosphere, location, everything is to a very high standard. Although the hotel is more than 100 yers old, the rooms are newly reconstructed, meticulously maintained, very tastefully arranged in a traditional style and very clean. The bathrooms are extremely comfortable. The blue bar is a charming place...

The Sacher offers a first class old world experience in a city filled with history and cultured. The hotel's expensive furnishings are matched by world-class service. The staff is professional and courteous and always ready to help. The rooms are furnished to an exceptionally high standard and are extremely comfortable. The bathroom is decked out with the hotel's proprietary beauty...

The Hotel Sacher is one of my favorite hotels in the world, in part because it is sui generis: unlike the Four Seasons or Ritz Carltons, which, beautiful and/or luxurious as they can be, feel as if they could be located in any city in the world, the Sacher could only be in Vienna (and maybe Salzberg, but I've never...

Very pleasant stay with view of the Opera House and perfectly soundproofed room. Excellent and helpful staff. My only criticism of the room was that if you turned the bathroom light at night enough light escaped to wake my wife. We eat in the Rote Bar Restaurant twice and the food was extremely good. We would certainly stay again.

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
