We loved the hotel. The room was large which is a rarity in Europe with great fittings and it was very clean. We had requested a room on a higher floor and they accommodated our request which was so kind of them. Staff is very friendly and helpful and answered our questions with a ready smile. The hotel's location is fantastic and a lot of the attractions are within easy reach.…
To be near anything location is 10/10 and comfort would be about a 9/10 and the hotel were very accommodating which was nice. As bar was closed Sunday night the receptionist managed to get me a brandy from a nearby restaurant so 10/10 for doing that. If I was to make any observation at all it would be no more than most hotels do and that design the room around where they can fit anything rather than design a room around where a female may sit to get ready. My complaint about most hotels and I have stayed in probably more than 1000 hotels over the last 30 years is that when women sit down to do make up or straighten their hair they have to do make up in bathroom and straighten hair by feel as the plug is nowhere near a mirror. This is something I always look for and there is only one hotel that has ever got it right. Apart from that all is good the hotel has a charm which is good and I would stay here again. …
Located right on the main shopping and restaurant street, great for walking to many places. One block from the National Opera House. Rooms lack air conditioning so if traveling in the warm weather be sure to specify an air conditioned room as the others can be uncomfortable. The breakfast was excellent as was the service, we had a problem with room the first night. The Assistant Front Office Manager, Dalia, was very helpful and went out her way to move us to an air conditioned room which was very nice. Overall a great location and comfortable hotel with a friendly staff.…
My husband was already there to attend a conference and I decided to join him last minute on his last day when he was meant to check out . Despite this being a very busy time and them being fully booked - the hotel staff were very accommodating and managed to fit us in . We did need to move rooms though , which we didn't mind as it was our fault . First room ha the toilet , shower and sink in the same room . Second room the toilet was in a space alone separate from shower and sink . Second room was much bigger and airier though . hotel was very clean , very quaint belonging to another era and they served a good breakfast . Turkey ham was served alongside other things . Rarely see turkey ham in Europe . Coffee machine and coffee were readily available in the room and I'm happy to say that the coffee was always replenished . Amneties were good . No hair conditioner though - I always bring my own so this was not an issue for me . And the location : centralized and walking distance from everything you want to see or need . And if you need to go a bit further - the underground is a few hundred meters away . Again - the staff were incredibly lovely and friendly , cannot stress this enough . Would definitely go back ! …
Great location, just a few steps behind the Opera or from St. Stefans Dome (Stefans Dom). The room I was checked in to was quite big and came with safety box and a mini bar. What impressed me the moste was the highness of the room, I estimated it to 3.5 m! It's an impressive and majestic, old building with very friendly and helpful staff! The only down thing was the fan in a corner witch didn't really help to cool down the room on days like this with 31°C. What I liked, too, was the old elevator with two doors and the clean and carpeted floors! Vintage and stylish at the same time!…
