Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.

Dear DRaeScout, We are very sorry, that you were charged twice for your double booking: one made through Expedia and one by using booking.com. Unfortunately it wasn’t clear before arrival, that you will only need one room, instead of the two you booked through different channels. We assume that this facts lead to your rating/evaluation and kindly ask you to understand that we have maintained our part of the contract by preparing the booked rooms and reserving them for you. Best regards

We stayed here for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff, comfortable and clean room, elegant dining room and a great buffet breakfast. The owner has maintained the “family run” feel of the place, with a collection of old clocks, including a grandfather

Dear theateam067, With pleasure we inform you about the possibilities to reach our Hotel from the airport. We can organise an airport pick-up with a driver waiting for you in the arrival hall with your nametag. This service costs between Euro 47,- and Euro 70,- depending on the number of persons and luggage which will determine the needed car size. You can also take the cat-City Airport train. You will then have to change once from the train to the underground number 1 and walk from Schwedenplatz about 3-5 minutes. Costs about Euro 12,-. There is also a Bus from the airport to the Morzinplatz, which is next to Schwedenplatz. The price for the bus is about Euro 8,- per person. Best regards
