NOTE: My review is based on one of the smallest and cheapest rooms in the whole hotel (Room 451). On Booking.com, it's referred to as a "Budget Single Room." My photos and experience are specific to this room, which truly only fits one person. My rating is relative to the price. It was 44€/night including taxes, not including breakfast, on...

We stayed for one night at the Hotel Papageno, which was already enough. The rooms are very old which doesnt necessarily has to be something bad but the bed was unacceptable. The mattresse were through and I was literally lying on the spring core which made it impossible to sleep. The bathroom was ok but the showerhead was broken and...

The room was old and shabby. The safe was broken. The toiletseat was broken and "fixed" with ducttape. The bed was so noisy that I woke every time I moved. The shower was old and dirty and not adjustable in hight, no normal grownup could stand straight under it... When we complained the guy at the desk was very rude...

When we arrived at the room, the toiletseat was broken en fixed with duct tape. The safe was closed and not able to open and the shower was so old that it wasn't adjustable in hight. When we went to the reception, the guy was very rude and told us that we could send an email and that their were...

Is extremely central, you can walk to the state opera house in less than 10 mins. There are lots of fab restaurants nearby too. Not the usual hotel standard , bit quirky & individual but very clean. We would definitely stay again.

The hotel is old but its comfortable. Prices are good for like a hotel. It has free coffee and cake time and it has and average breakfast. The staffs are very friendly. 2 minutes to subway and 5 minutes to Karlplatz.

The hotel is a little bit old and the room had a double door system that I found slightly awkward. The room where I stayed was very minimal in terms of furnitures but clean. Breakfast was not exceptional for me and those people who were not eating salty in the early morning. Staff is young and gentle. One of them...

Stayed as a couple in October, in different rooms on both the beginning and end of a trip which started and ended in Vienna. On the positive side, it is an excellent location, close to the performing halls and museum district. Good proximity to public transit, closest is only a block and a half away, giving you access to the...

Don't be fooled as I was with the picture showing the hotel. This is not the hotel building, this building is one street away and about 500 mtrs away. Saying that the front office staff were very pleasant and helpful. I was designated a mezzanine room which turned out to be very dark that there was one main light, a...

The location is just fine - about 10-minute walk from the Vienna Operahouse. But the hotel itself is not ok - you can read it in all other bad reviews, it is mostly true. Anyway for just sleeping there after a long day of traversing Vienna the hotel is ok
