A bit old-fashioned and definitely not the best location in Vienna, but I actually enjoyed my stay there. It was clean, comfortable and the old-school interior gives the place some charm. In addition, they offer delicious breakfast and the staff was helpful as well. I...More
You will feel very welcome to this hotel from the very first moment.

Stayed here as part of a package deal through secret escapes. Which incidentally I thought was a luxury travel brand but this hotel was far from it...
The hotel is situated in quite a run down area of Vienna, very close to the metro station....More

This must have been a really nice hotel......., a long-time ago.
The restaurant isn't open for lunch/dinner any more. The view of the outdoor area from our room showed a lack of basic maintenance and messy. The personnel is quirky but polite. The room we...More

There is the hotel's garage area which you can use for ~15 euros/day. They share the garage and in fact have only about 8 spots available there, so it may fill up. There are also a few free spots on the street just north of the hotel building. If those are full and you don't want to pay, you can also park anywhere in the neighborhood for the night free. There are signs that say when you can park there without a permit (if my memory serves me, 7pm-8am). You will need to wake up early in the morning to move your car to another space if you park in one of these spots. The hotel staff are very helpful in explaining where you can and cannot park.

We took the train when we stayed at Altwinerhof and you have to use the light rail to transfer. The train station is pretty far away from the hotel, but with the light rail across the street from the hotel, it would be pretty easy to arrive by train, hop on the light rail to the Gumpendorfer Strasse and walk across the street to the hotel.
Having the light rail across the way made staying at this hotel very easy.
