The only thing that could have made it better would have been to have a double bed instead of a small single one. But I did book a "single" room, so it made sense that the bed was single. This hotel was faultless and nothing else could have improved it. One of the best hotels I have stayed in Europe....

This hotel is as close to perfect as it gets! It is right next to the Museum Quartier, centrally located, making it easy to walk almost anywhere in the center of Vienna. The breakfast is outstanding. The room was extremely comfortable and quiet. I can't wait to go back to stay there.

Stayed here for 3 nights in early December. Room was big, bed was comfy, breakfast buffet was delicious (with great variety of food), location was central and service was exceptional! Big shout out to Christa at the reception desk who provided me with great restaurant recommendations and even made a couple of the restaurant reservations for me and my friends!

The hotel is conveniently located, just behind the Museum Quarter, for access to the RIngstrasse and many of Vienna's attractions. We stayed for 4 days as a couple on a winter city break. There is a Christmas market in the streets behind, and two others within easy walking distance. The hotel decor is modern and the rooms well appointed. The...

For me a good hotel is more then its location and cleaniless, especially in a country with a foreign language that you don`t know, when things go worng, this is the real test, and this hotels is more then 5 stars in treatment and care for hotel guests. Our passports got stolen on a fridey night, the hotel stuff helped...

When looking for somewhere to stay, the main criteria are: - location; - price; - comfort / decor; - services offered; - quality of food; - ambiance On all of these, I would give this hotel top marks. The location in the Museum quarter is ideal for tourists to this beautiful city. I asked for a room with a view,...

We booked this hotel for a week's stay in Vienna and were glad we did. It is on a quiet side street next door to the Museum Quarter. The Hofburg palace is only a 15 minute walk. Shops, restaurants and the subway are within a 5 minute walk. We arrived at 11 a.m. after an overseas flight. As soon as...

Hotel within easy walking distance to most sights in Vienna. About 20 min from Stefansdom and 15 min from Opera House. Breakfast was very nice. Buffet with hot and cold selection. The staff were very nice, friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. The first night we were put in room with tiled floor in hall. This was extremely noisy,...

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
