The Pension Neuer Markt is a very reasonably priced small, family-run, inn on the Neuer Markt square and two short blocks from the Graben (pedestrian center) in the Innere Stadt, the historical center of Vienna. Most of the tourist sites are within walking distance— Habsburg Palace, Opera House, museums, Cafe Central, couple subway stops from Schoennbrun Palace— so it is very well located. A pleasant continental breakfast is included; they even provide a pot of coffee so you don’t have to request multiple refills of your cup. The rooms are rather basic— smaller than the photos suggest. My room lacked air conditioning— okay in early May, but likely not as you get into the summer, though the large fan helped. Berget and Matthias were fine hosts; I liked the 10% per day-stayed discount they provided for tours, or for services like the airport shuttle. If you are looking for basic, but convenient, accommodation— “authentic” but not luxurious— PNM will do fine.…

The location of the hotel is perfect! Are room for three was good with three single beds and nice bathroom. The receptionist Victoria is one of I kind, she makes your stay so good, she helps with everything you need to be in town including the transportation to the airport. It was splendid we visited Vienna in February it was quite facile to divulge the location of the hotel since it was conspicious and wer were greeted by an amicable,kind,benevolent receptionist,who had briefly and evidently the fundamental information about the hotel,forbye other employees were courteous and well disposed,furthermore our room was extremely clean and our bed was comfortable and snug akinly bathroom was also in a good trim and clean eke the internet speed was adequate the insulation of heat and central heating was well.Moreover the breakfast was fabulous there were many kinds of abundant food in the open buffeet,which were fresh,savory.What’s more the location could not have been better it is situated in the heart of vienna, exact opposite(150meters aprox) Stephansplatz U Bahn in Innere Stadt.Apart from that possessing a super market beneath the hotel was a big plus for us there is nothing negative I could utter about this hotel.In case you pay a visit to Vienna consider accomodating in this hotel,which provises a superior price-quality ratio Thank you everyone for the great service provided that I come Vienna in future I would definetely opt to stay there…

I'm completely satisfied with the choice to stay here. Very close to most sights we wanted to visit, also to the metro station. Everything was clean and the room felt quite cosy, in its old-fashioned interior. The negative points to make, one was the very small shower cabin, also not a large choice in breakfast; just the basics. Anyways, in comparison to its location, price, quiet room at night, cleanliness and helpful staff, these two points were not a big problem for us. I would consider staying there again.

Why I said don't waste your money!!. First when we arrived at the hotel, homeless people in front of the hotel. Dirty around. The bathroom is so ridiculous small but the shower is xxx smal hard to take a shower. The carpet in the room was so dirty. The breakfast place is so antique, small place. I requested a scramble egs, and they said no, sorry, the food you see there is what we have for breakfast, only American coffee, nothing else. No extra choice. I'm so disappointed because of other travelers' reviews, thet said good place, and it's not. I have to be honest because my time, vacation, and money count.

Your home in Vienna away from home... Such a cosy place with welcoming hospitality . We came for the Advent (pre Xmas weeks) to enjoy the markets and the holiday atmosphere. Party of 3 - our senior mother and two doughtars in our 50's. The location can't be better!! less then a minute from Graben pedestrian street, 1 minute walk from Stephen's dome, U-bahn, xmas market but in a very quiet place. You can enjoy all what the city offers within walking distance, we only took the Ubahn to Belveder, Schonbron and Parter, All the other sites and market are about 15 minutes walk by the most. Rooms are spacious, warm, with double windows to isolate from noise, very quiet and peacefull night sleep. Breakfast buffet is served from 6:30 am which iwas perfect for us, early birds. there is a great variety of freshly baked pastries, vegetables, fruits, cold plates of ham and cheese, spreads, hot drinks etc. The reception desk is staffed 24/7, you can ask for everything. Staying at a pension in Vienna is the way I like the accommodation. So, it’s the third time I use it. And never disappointed. Pension Neuer Markt is a quiet, clean, and friendly place to stay. Rooms are big enough (or bigger?) and, if lucky, the view could be great (sorry for those with views on the interior). I was lucky 😊. Maybe you cand ask for the view to the Neuer Markt street (as I luckily had) and will be great. You’ll have great hosts, willing to help, nice personnel, and, as from me, nothing to regret as I select this pension. Maybe, just a little bit, the lack of a fridge in the room. But only a little bit. The breakfast was served in a large window of time and quite good for starting a day. The room is cozy, maybe a bit too small but you’ll manage. One good point: there were some building works in the building next to the pension and, with the window closed, nothing to hear. Quiet. And a tip: in the same building, at the ground level (also basement and first floor) is a BILLA shop where you can eat. But, there is a huge but, sorry, try not to make reservations during hot weather. There is no air conditioning and in summer the temperature in the rook could be too big. I was in October but I’ve seen in the closet a ventilator. So, if you want a charming stay during your trip to Vienna, Pension Neuer Markt could be a solution. I suppose you won’t regret.…

Brilliant location central to everything including easy access from train. Lovely old building with lift access to hotel. Right next to Billa supermarket. Helpful staff who helped me print some documents. I have given this 4 rather than 5 as there is no kettle in room and also, the breakfast area is very small so you may need to wait.

Arrived in 80 degree plus heat with humidity and discovered no air conditioning. Unbearably hot. They gave my wife and I twin beds a tiny fan. In this day and age. They don’t mention this lack of air conditioning. In the winter it might be ok but this intense heat makes this untenable. I spent months planning the perfect Viennese holiday only to have it destroyed by this so called hotel. They completely ruined our vacation. This is worse than the worse Airbnb. I’m beyond angry and depressed. Avoid at all costs.
