The hotel is warm and welcoming with a tranquility that runs throughout. With friendly staff, an unbelievable breakfast and the comfiest pillows to rest your weary head, the hotel is ideal for all. The hotel is in a perfect location, great for amazing independent shops and all the main shopping streets, The tram stops right outside, from which you can...

Visited Hotel Kugel for 3 times. We usually travel Vienna during Advent time. The hotel has a special atmosphere, highly recommended, especially if you wish to spend some wonderful days with your darling. You can feel the real Vienna here, the disctrict, where this accomodation is located, is the heart of art in the city. Breakfast is wonderful, my favourite...

A very friendly family owned hotel in a great location. Excellent breakfast. Good quality room. Only downside is for those who like their windows open, the front of the hotel is on a tram route, though we slept fine.

Hotel Kugel is a nice little hotel in one of the most interesting (and safe) quarters of Vienna. There are many galleries, restaurants and shops in the vicinity. Staff is friendly, breakfast is very good and you just have to step out of the hotel to take the tram to the town center or to the Westbahnhof train station. Bus...

Home comfort in an atmospheric Vienna. The rooms are small but very nice and cozy. Everything is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is super - fresh croissants, natural eco yogurt, fruitі and aromatic coffee.

Hotel Kugel is located about a 10-15min from museum area of Vienna. It is a 5min walk to the metro and is centrally located in a fun shopping area with a lot of stores unique to Vienna (i.e. non-chain stores). The rooms are each themed - ours was Asian - and had curtains, linen etc befitting that genre. The hotel...

I chose a superior Asian styled room for my stay and I have to say I was very pleased with my selection. The room is styled with Asian themed linen, curtains and furniture which of course has been done to a very high standard. The breakfast was continental style with a wide variety of warm and cold options to suit...

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
