Room very large, easy connection for wifi. The breakfast is very good, many different things to choose: juice, coffee, milk, yogurt, eggs, ham, cheese an so on. Maybe it's not so cheap but it's very good

I went to Vienna recently on a business stay of five days. The severe modern decor of many upscale hotels near the convention venue didn't appeal, while the older properties looked a bit run down. This hotel combined the best of both, modernized yet comfortably classic decor. I had a two bedroom suite, very spacious, again modernized but in a...

We stayed for a second time at the Austria Classic Hotel Wien in Vienna for 4 nights. The location is great with shops, restaurants, post office and UBahn station on the Praterstrasse and the Praterstern S/UBahn Station across the road in the other direction. The hotel is very comfortable and welcoming. The staff is friendly and helpful and speaks excellent English. The...

The Classic Hotel Vienna is a very good three star hotel: friendly staff, spacious room (not the bathroom), comfortable bed, close to the heart of the city center but very quiet, good Wifi connection (at least the download rate - see picture). Also the breakfast buffet was great offering a range of hot and cold food. The hotel is a...

I stayed 6 nights in this hotel because of the AD/PD conference at the Austria Center Vienna (Kaisermuhlen). The conference was 3 stops away by metro, so it was easy to get there. The hotel is located near to the metro station Praterstern where many lines pass through. The rooms are comfortable, the cleaning staff did a great job. Breakfast...

The hotel is very good indeed, the location is very useful, practically very close to the center. The rooms are comfortable, clean, calm and quiet. Great convenience is the availability of parking and garage. I'm recommending Austria Classic Hotel Vienna!

Very close to Praterstern transport interchange, so easy to reach from airport (S7 train); close to 2 metro stations to reach rest of the city. As the name implies it's a rather old fashioned, long established place, but friendly, efficient and clean. Staff are fluent in English and happy to advise how best to get to places etc. Adequate wi-fi....

We stayed here for a family celebration and it proved to be a great find! The rooms were lovely (not huge, but we were only sleeping there!) and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice and all the staff were polite and friendly; couldn't ask for anything more.

We only stayed one night here, over a long layover. The staff spoke perfect English and were pleasant. Our room was very small; I don't know if this is common in Vienna, but it definitely surprised us. Even though it was small, it was clean, well-maintained, and quiet. The breakfast was very good. In fact, I would make a point...

Immaculate presentation, spotlessly clean and not a mark on any wall! We were lucky enough to get what may be their premium room and we couldn't be happier. The beds are extremely comfortable, the staff friendly and a there is a good selection for breakfast. Our room is on the top floor facing the internal courtyard and is the quietest...

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
