Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.

The hostel staff are friendly and rooms are clean and tidy. With 20 minutes of walking you can get to historical center of city and it is close to subway. The only issue that the small kitchen does not have oven and you can not cook.

We all really enjoyed our stay at this hostel. The rooms were clean and big. The bathroom was clean as well. The lockers have no locks, but we brought our own locks so that was fine. There is a small kitchen, but there is no stove/oven, but it was fine if you made a salad or

Stayed here for 4 nights whilst exploring Vienna and the region. Good location near underground (5minute walk) and 20-25 mins to the main area walking - which for us is good as we enjoyed the exercise and views but might be too far for some people. Lots of stores around for food

There are two football stadiums in Vienna : the Ernst-Happel-Stadium next to the amusement park Prater , which is easy to reach by subway ( Line U2 , exit Stadion ). The second one is the Gerhard-Hanappie-Stadium , close to the subway line U4 , exit Hietzing ( also the last stop of this line). The hostel is closer located to the Ernst-Happel-Stadium – it should take no longer than 25 minutes to get there. But since we are very close to the main subway junctions, it never takes long to get anywhere in the city! 

"Don't stay here"
"all the rooms are quieter"
"Lower floor rooms have access to wifi from their rooms"
"Avoid the rooms that are on the ground floor. It can get very noisy at night where people are outside chatting."
"I would ask for a room on the ground floor not facing the street because the rooms on the upper floors tend to be louder."
