This is an ideal hotel from which to discover Vienna, it is very close to St Stephens Cathedral and within easy walking distance of most of the old town. The entrance is the weakest part but once upstairs, the staff were very welcoming and our room was a good size. As others have said, the breakfasts are very good with plenty of choice and the ‘make your own sandwich’ and tea available from 2-5pm was appreciated. However, we feel that for the rates charged, we would have expected more facilities particularly being able to make a cup of tea in our room. Nothing is available after 5pm. A good choice for a short break.
Very warm welcome, comfortable room, fabulous breakfast service and amazing food. Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance to Stephansplatz and many sights. Also very close to Subway and tram station. Would definitely recommend to friends, and would also stay here again.
You can't beat the location of this hotel - easy walk to all of the major attractions in city center. We loved lots of things about this hotel - the location, the breakfast (great bread, delicious egg of the day option as well as other expected standard options), the staff (friendly and helpful, good dinner recommendations), and the boutique size that feels more like home. There are charming nooks and public spaces you can hang out in with books, games, whiskey. Heated floors in the bathroom. Overall great style and design, and the type of property we generally love to stay at. There were a few areas where it fell short for us - primarily the beds were a bit hard and our pillows flat, and the shower towels were a bit skimpy (barely covering your bum, and not that plush). If you could up the luxury factor in those two areas, it would have made a huge difference in our stay.
We loved our stay at Hollmann Beletage. It is a very cozy boutique hotel with quirky (in a good way) decorated in a warm, welcoming orange tone located 2 min away from St. Stephans Cathedral. The theme is "feel at home" so they have all amenities available, including a rain umbrella which we thankfully used everyday! We stayed in rm 6, which i think is residenz XL category when I booked online. The queen bed were firm but very comfortable for me. The bathroom was sleek and functional. The deep bathtub was perfect for a soak after a long day of exploring. The only issue I had was the glass partition dividing the shower and the bathroom. The shower head still sprayed all over the floor unless it is turned to face the wall which is not practical or functional. Now for the reason we would come back again and again: the Breakfast! Imagine the perfectly set breakfast room with sleek place settings and flowers on every table. A buffet with cereals, yogurts and jams, nutella galore. But that's not it. That's just extra. The "real" breakfast is a 3 course extravaganza prepared by the chef who greets you warmly as you enter. There is a 1st course of eggs or the special (truffled scrambled eggs, soft poached egg with spinach, bacon wrapped egg). A second course of meatloaf; smoked salmon; or veg soup c blinis. Dessert of crepes or special (chocolate cake, apple strudel). not to mention the amuse given in the beginning: freshly squeezed juice, a box of breads and a cheese/meats plate. My husband and I needed to remind ourselves the night before to not overeat so we would have room for breakfast! The staff was all very friendly and helpful, arranging a car service to and from the airport. We felt very welcomed and enjoyed our stay tremendously. I highly recommend Hollmann Beletage and would stay again if we were to ever be in Vienna again.
I have stayed in the Hollmann Beletage Hotel in Vienna three times, and each time has been completely delightful! The staff is incredibly helpful and welcoming; the rooms are unusually spacious and attractively designed (particularly love the in-room bathtubs in some rooms); and the included breakfast is amazing. I can't imagine staying anywhere else!
