What do you need to feel at home in a hotel? Certainly, first-class quality and excellent service are at the top of the list. These things are a matter of course here at the 4-star hotel Das Tyrol. Of course, individuality is crucial; charm that is exceptional. That signature feature that makes something distinctive, unique even. In our case, the individual uniqueness is art or rather the bridge that combines art with history, tradition, and modernity. Art-minded and individual A guest from London wrote in our guestbook. „This is our Schatzkammer“. And we are very proud of this, because we know he means art. He means our service. He means the dedication of our entire team. He means our whole hotel. Experience this special mixture of art, culture, and charming hospitality. We look forward to seeing you! Helena Ramsbacher and the entire team at Das Tyrol

My partner and I loved staying at this hotel. Everyone at reception was so kind and helpful, the room was very modern and clean, the artwork was fun and the location is honestly perfect. Very quiet but not even 10 minutes walk from the center of Vienna!

The private spa was wonderful, I love the concept of being able to book it for private use. This really makes the hotel stand out for me. I would definitely stay here if I come back to Vienna and would recommend it.

We're pleased that you enjoyed the modern and clean design of your room. Thank you as well for mentioning our original artwork throughout the house. We booked a studio for the week between Christmas and New Years . The hotel sent a list of restaurants to book in advance due to the lack of availability at many restaurants during the busy holiday season. The hotel had a Christmas Eve dinner at the hotel that we very much appreciated since many restaurants were closed on this day. The service was friendly and attentive . The room was thoughtfully designed with a spacious bathroom , seating area and bed arranged with lots of windows and a balcony . There is more than adequate storage for a week of clothes . The hotel location was in between three different metro lines which made site seeing extremely easy. I wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else when in Vienna again.

We stayed at Hotel Das Tyrol in December for 5 days. This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. I can’t say enough about the staff. We were able to get an early check-in which was great since we just flew from New York. Beautiful room with so many modern touches. Very comfortable bed. Very modern amenities from the easy touch lighting, coffeemaker, plumbing fixtures, marble bathroom with large walk in shower with one touch faucets which we had never seen before. The room was sparkling clean. Even had a Nepresso coffee machine and Dyson hair dryer.
The hotel was decorated for Christmas with such beautiful classic ornaments. The lobby, breakfast room, bar area and hallways were decorated in eclectic standout artwork and bold colors of mainly gold and red which really worked. And there were Austrian cookies everywhere!!!! So yummy.
The staff really makes the hotel special. The gentlemen at reception were wonderful. They were so patient and gave us directions each day with suggestions what to do and see and how to travel.
Our favorite employee was Grace at the bar area. She is a true treasure. She took such good care of us. My husband had a hurt knee which he had to ice and she made sure each night we had enough ice to wrap around his knee. She entertained us and spoke with us and made sure we were having a good stay. She is a wonderful asset to the hotel.
This hotel is in a very convenient location adjacent to Museum Quarter and on the pedestrian Mariahilfer shopping district. Many restaurants, coffee shops and 4 Christmas Markets within walking distance as was public transportation. Uber was about a 5E ride to most tourist spots.
I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel.

Stayed for three nights in a Superior double room. We wanted a bath tub as well as a shower and sure enough it was perfect after a hard days sightseeing.
Great location with the museum and market area in very close walking distance. In a shopping street so not a lonely place at night. The tube station was only a few 100 m away and you could get to the very centre inside 15 minutes. A gentle walk to all the main sights if you wanted more exercise.
Room well designed and we slept like a log. Everything very modern and cutting edge. Not enormous but they had somehow made room for a small seating area.
We did not have the breakfast in the hotel.but preferred to visit one of the nearby coffee shops for light breakfast. Certainly a lot cheaper as breakfast was 18 euro each and we normally only fancy a coffee and croissant.
Book with confidence.

Dear David R, thank you for your wonderful review. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us and had a great time exploring the city. Luckily, we are situated within a lively and young part of the city and there are numerous gastronomical delights in the area. However, we would like to mention our breakfast package for 18€ per person is all-you-can-eat-and-drink and we do offer our breakfast as well a la carte for everyone who just needs something small to start the day (: We hope to see you soon! The staff and service at this hotel can't be beat. The people are very kind to their guests and nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff. Phillip at the front desk was amazing. We had left some luggage on hold at the hotel with things we bought in Vienna as we were circling back to Vienna at the end of our 3 weeks’ vacation and had another stay at the hotel scheduled before flying back to the United States. When we returned to the hotel, Phillip already had our stuff in our room. They also arranged for parking for our rental car, our transfer to/from the airport, recommended restaurants, etc. – all without a hitch.

The people at the bar and the restaurant were just genuinely warm to their customers. We felt at home!

The city center location is great and felt safe, museums are a hop skip away, places of interest are within easy 15 minutes walking distance and many restaurants in the area as well.

Our Deluxe Room was impeccably cleaned, offered modern amenities, plenty of storage space to put our luggage away and make ourselves comfortable during our stay. The private spa/sauna was definitely a nice perk to have after a long day of walking around the city.

Das Tyrol Boutique Hotel is simply one of those hotels you wouldn’t mind going back to again and again if you are ever in Vienna. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who may be considering a stay in Vienna.

Perfect stay for a few nights in Vienna. Centrally located and easy walking distance to all attractions. Rooms are modern and very well designed. There are loads of little touches such as electronic buttons for 'do not disturb' and 'clean the room'; and Ferrero Rochers on the pillows after each clean. Staff were helpful and efficient.

One of the finest hotels I’ve ever stayed at and should be classified as a 5 star establishment. Super stylish, impeccably clean, and modern, but at the same time extremely comfortable and cozy. The rooms have wonderful extras from sumptuous heavy curtains, great beds, and state of the art bathrooms (just like on the photos online). No need to bring your own shower gel and shampoo/conditioner; the ones provided by Das Tyrol are outstanding, even for those with sensitive skin like me. One of the staff told me that the body wash and shampoo/conditioner are prepared by a nearby pharmacy. Oh, and the bathroom comes with a Dyson hairdryer.
Another 10 is the fabulous location, right in the middle of the city. At the same time, it’s very quiet. You won't hear a peep from outside.
I'd also like to personally thank the staff like the outstanding Nadine and Philip as well as Savas in the breakfast room, for whom no request was too much.
In one word: spectacular!

We loved this hotel. Beautiful decor. Nice sized rooms and bathrooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Location was excellent. Very close to the Hofburg, museums and old city (short walking distance). It was a ways from the train station so you would need to take a cab, but it was also close to the subway. Small restaurant on site for breakfast (bar in the evening) which served an excellent breakfast at a reasonable price. Expresso machine in the room. Dyson hairdryers in room for use. Spa available but we did not have time to utilize. We really did feel pampered and well taken care of here. Definitely would stay again and highly recommend.

Our arrival at the hotel was marred by a dishonest taxi driver who took us on a tour of the city before bringing us to the hotel but Elias was very empathetic and gracious in admitting that taxis hailed at Wien hbf were dodgy where it involved tourists not familiar with the route.

We spent three nights here and enjoyed our stay. Lajos at reception was very kind and generous and when housekeeping overlooked replenishing nespresso capsules, he gave me a handful to compensate. Thanks Lajos, you are an asset to the hotel.

We used the steam room every night after being out in the cold all day and it was a real treat.

If you book directly on the hotel website you get a welcome drink and a very pleasant interaction with the bar hostess which we enjoyed.

All in all a very comfortable and luxurious stay.

If you can commute from the main train station to the hotel by metro, it is a preferable option to avoid the dodgy taxi drivers. If you choose to take a taxi, make sure you have google maps open. We completely overlooked doing that and naively trusted the driver, only to be ripped off.

Would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Vienna. The location is perfect and most main attractions are within walking distance. The rooms are individual, very modern and finished to a very high standard. Spotlessly clean also. Staff are very friendly and helpful. My only suggestion for improvement (the only thing I can criticize about my stay) is they should have a “pillow menu” as we found our pillows very soft and when we asked for a firmer one they couldn’t accommodate but did give us an additional softer pillow. Otherwise a beautiful boutique hotel that is a must.
