Found by chance but so happy to have visited. Some great historical signatures and the waiting staff are fantastic. Great atmosphere and we'll frequented by locals. Would recommend at least one beer here!

Very old Inn within the Inner Ring with a traditional menu. I found the selection of food interesting and went for a traditional boiled beef with roasted potatoes and horseradish and marrowbones. I also had a portion of homemade sacher cake. Nothing really stood out... It felt bland for the price. The menu had been translated into English (Thank God!!!)....

Attentive waiters, delicious food, quick service. What more could you want? More expensive than the inns we've eaten in our way along the Danube biking from place to place, but not terribly pricey. The Wiener Schnitzel was the best (by far!) that we've sampled so far. Other meals chosen were tasty and generous too. Lovely meal!

We stumbled on this historical and charming medieval restaurant as we walked up a small alley. After 2:00 in the afternoon and again after 8:00 you can sit in this incredible place and have a beer, a glass of wine or dessert and coffee. We enjoyed ourselves so much one afternoon sitting outside on the patio with our Eidelweiss beer...

this is recommended on a book about vienna, and we had lunch there. lots of tourists there, and few local people. we had suckling pork and char fish. the amount of food is large, but taste average, and quite pricey compared with other restaurants. The place is quite beautiful along a small passage.

I've been to Griechenbeisl several times during past business trips, and I keep on returning there. The atmosphere is pleasant, the waiters are very kind and professional, the cuisine is exactly what I'm looking for - higher quality than usual city restaurant, menu with some sophisticated options, and of course magic interior.

We were recommended this restaurant by the concierge at Sofitel Vienna and we were not disappointed. We arrived at 22:00hrs without a reservation but were still in time to be seated for dinner. The staff were extremely attentive, very friendly and very personable. Even though they spent time to recommend dishes, explain a little of the restaurant's long and varied...

This is a restaurant/inn that you must visit while in Vienna. If not for the food alone, then at least for it's historical value and charm. It's a picture perfect setting whether you're dining inside or on the patio. The food is a bit pricey, but it's well worth the dining experience. As others have said, please be sure to...

If I'm ever back in Vienna, I'll have to try this again and have a full meal. We went later in the evening and ate light. Everything we had was great! A very historic building and the service was very good. A little on the pricey side. Make sure you ask if you can see the Mark Twain room as...

I booked to take some friends here with some trepidation, given several rather unfavourable reviews. All I can say is, it almost seems like they were reviewing a different restaurant! We had a great evening. The staff were really friendly and efficient. The food was well cooked. Ok, this is not Michelin star - it doesn't pretend to be, obviously....
