The service was helpful and prompt with an effort to reply to all request or questions. Small bar with a helpful barman/lady, ready to promote less known vines. The rooms are correct while a bit pale or dark. Location is good, close to the ring and to the old city center.

Unhelpful reception when questioned security of wifi. Free wifi insecure and so slow as to be rendered unusable so spent euros on upgraded wifi. Functioned but effectively no free wifi. Milk sachets with coffee bar in room off and room cleaned partially. Not worth money and let the brand Novotel down. Will not return despite the convenience of location. Pity.

Stayed for a few nights during my children's music tour. Good location (5 mins from centre and Prater Park). Clean, modern room, friendly and helpful concierge. Unfortunately not many facilities, but we were aware of this when booking.

Hotel is nice and it is situated close to the center. Parking is 250 m from hotel and it is very expancive. Breakfast is so so. For this price it could be better. Rooms are ok and servise are polite..

Good hotel rooms, very well equipped. We stayed in a Executive room with a terrace, so it was great with lots of natural light into the room in the afternoon. Our request for extra bed was very well accommodated. Breakfast area is small, and the variety available is limited, but good enough to start the day with.

Good place to stay with your family! Excellent value for money, friendly staff, good location, excellent breakfast! I would encourage a larger playing area for the children but it's ok as it is right now.

Ten mins from Main train station and perfectly situated for a stroll to most of the main central sights the Novotel is a winner. The usual high standards are all here. Clean modern and stylish with well thought out and spacious guest rooms as well as contemporary and slick public areas. We had a drink in the bar which was... More

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
