we loved to stay in the hotel. it has a great location, comfortable beds/duvets/pillows and the best is the breakfast! We absolutely loved the breakfast! the only negative point was the size of the bedrooms. But we were out so much exploring the city that in the end it was ok. The people in the hotel are all very nice...

Oslo was chilly and icy during my recent visit, so I was glad that I stayed at the warm and welcoming Guldsmeden. An excellent breakfast, stylish decorations, good lighting and friendly service were amongst the highlights of a one night stopover. The location is very good too, not far from the National Theater railway station. I'd be ready to give...

Just a very brief walk to the bus and train and a few blocks to walk to the Palace. From there we walked to the Train Station. Very friendly and helpful staff, loved the beautiful, quiet room and used the spa every night before bed. The breakfast is absolute everything we could have wanted and more. Coffee and tea bar...

This is a warm, cosy and quirky hotel in the western part of the city about 20-30 mins walk from the centre. At the hotel we were given two interconnecting rooms which worked really well for us. The beds were very comfortable with goose down duvets. Organic toiletries in the bathrooms, slippers, safe, computer ... The only thing missing was...

We stayed at Guldsmeden for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay immensely. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and speak excellent English. We enjoyed the organic breakfasts every morning - the boiled eggs and bread were faves. We paid the 150 NOK for the spa and we used it 4 times - it's lovely when you've been out...

We stayed 2 nights in late August, 2016. Would definitely recommend this eco friendly hotel. Location excellent for trains, buses, cafes and a lovely walk downtown. Whilst the room is moderate in size, it is quite adequate. Staff are friendly & helpful, front lounge area is warm and enticing. Breakfasts were especially very good. We really appreciate the Management of...

When we travel we always want to stay somewhere that feels like it belongs in that city/county, rather than being in a generic chain hotel (however many stars it may have). Guldsmeden really fit the bill. A short walk (10mintues) from the national theatre train station (airport train arrives here) and as we later found out, less that 10 minutes...

Fantastic stay. The staff made us feel at home the moment we walked in the door. The rooms were cozy in decor and filled with organic soaps and shampoos. The breakfast was also organic and delicious. The location is about a 5 minute walked to Aker Brygge right on the water(many restaurants and shops). You can take the tram from...

We were booked into the hotel by the conference we were attending. We had a room on the top floor with a beautiful view. The hotel is quite cozy (small) but with all great amenities. Great bed, wonderful bedding, eco-conscious towels, superb breakfast spread every morning with great coffee, fruit, eggs, breads, cheese, yogurts, etc. Service was impeccable. One small...
