Dear James C, thank you for your time and for writing a great review of our hotel. I am glad to see that most of your feedback is positive and that you seem to have enjoyed your stay. Checking into an occupied room is not a good experoience - I completly understand this. On behalf of the hotel I can only say sorry, and that theese things should not be happening. One of the biggest challenges in running a hotel is to have a good balance between the guests. Some guests want to party and listen to loud music - other guests want to have a good night sleep and rest. We allways try to consider where to place our guests around the hotel and to keep the party-people away from the non-party people. This time we obviously failed with this. And when the fire alarm goes off in the middle of the night in addition to party-guests, I can understand that the night sleep was interrupted. However, I am glad to see that you want to come back to us, and that you wil recommend our hotel to your friends and family. We hope to see you soon, and that you will experience a good Soria-Moria-night-sleep the next time!

This was the worst hotel in our three week road trip of Scandinavia. In fact our worst hotel in a long time. After a very long drive from the UK I booked this online an hour or so before getting to Oslo. Because it was high up, and had reviews mentioning views, I thought we'd

Dear camval, Thank you for taking your time to write this review, even though I am sad to see that your stay did not live up to your expectations. We are very proud of our view, and are sad to see that you did not like it. Our public areas and restaurant normally gets a lot of compliments for the breathtaking view over the forests and the Oslofjord. When it comes to the rooms, we have 156 rooms that are placed all over the hotel. Our double rooms are in a building that is connected to the hotel with a glas-bridge. Depending on the availability, all of our guests get the option to upgrade their rooms into superiour rooms with a fantastic view over the forest and the mountains. We hope to see you again in the future. Contact me directly at hansteen@soriamoria, and I will try to make an extra touch on your next stay!

Very nice hotel. Good lunch and good dinner. Did not try the pool, but the kids said it was ok. Gym was ok. A bit confusing plan levels between two buildings connected by a bridge on the secvond floor.

Dear Thomas B, Thank you for the great review! I am glad to see that you enjoyed the hotel, and that your children liked the pool! I understand that the plan levels can be a little comfusing, but up here the ground is very turbulent, and we have done as good as we can to build the hotel into the nature. Therefore the plan levels could be a little confusing! We hope to see you again in the future and wish you welcome back to Soria Moria!

Great views on Oslo and forest landscape, lovely forest surroundings. Comfortable dining area and rooms. Excellent breakfast. Friendly and good service. Good price for its value. Distance to the center might be a disadvantage if you don't have a car.

Hi, there are some shops and I certainly remember some supermarket on the road from Oslo. There is a metro station aproximately 1 km from the Hotel, connected to Oslo.
