A low budget, simple standard place to stay. I did not expect high quality, we were three ladies traveling and there were bunk beds. But it worked perfectly, we got what we expected. Nice location, a small pier/beach area, where it was possible to rent a canoe, play volleyball, jump from the pier, wade out from a tiny beach, fresh water to rinse in. Free parking. A very nice breakfast buffet. Taxi to the city on a Saturday evening was around 200 kr. It is the perfect spot for a low budget stay in Kragerø.

It was a very warm day, and there were no aircondition and no fan. Especially the bunkbed top got hot. I would have like the one closest to the window to have been made up for sleeping, not the one furthest into the room. But. You know.
I could not get the wifi to function.
Other than that, I have no complaint. It was a very nice place. I recommend it. :)

2 adults and 1 child. Rent apartment with 1 bedroom and sofa bed in the living room.
Modern and simple apartments, with what you need to stay and manage. Nice with included bed linen and towels. Relatively spacious living room and bathroom, but could be a couple of extra chairs. Was small with two chairs in the living room when the apartment is rented out to 4 people....
everything was neat and clean and no annoying smell.
Could wish that the sofa bed was finished and that we had received towels etc to everyone in advance, but got everything when we asked in the reception.
Beds and linens were comfortable, but the double bed could well be 20-30 cm wider even if it then covered the entire width of the room (think it was only 140 wide). Good with closet space in the bedroom. Plus smoke alarms.
Much noisy/loud music in the evening and night from the other residents two nights in a row, had to call the reception several times for this, reception took responsibility and asked them to calm down. It is not the hotel's fault that there is noise, but it may be that the place attracts people who are in a party mood...? The place I have though used for camp schools etc, and the rooms otherwise were probably quite simple with bunk beds and small bathrooms etc, so I would definitely recommend renting one of the apartments when going here. Remember to bring shower soaps and any dishwasher to the kitchen/dishwasher (not available in the apartment). Otherwise happy with the stay! ok price for what you get if you rent an apartment.

Nice little place which doesn’t over promise but delivers well. Relaxing place not far from the town centre with ample free parking and a decent breakfast buffet.
Ability to rent bikes and kayaks.
Room was a little hot, but we stayed during a heatwave on the south coast.

Stayed one night because we could not get a room at Kragero Quality Resort. 'Just one night'- and that is in fact the longest I would stay in this place. I think it was originally a youth hostel, and it still shows. We were shown a room which could not be referred to as a hotel-room. The beds looked dirty and you had to rent linens, towels etc, and the window was so dirty you could not see through it. We opted for an upgrade to a room in the lower floor, and the only problem here, was the door could only be locked by using extreme force, and it was about 50 centimeter above the outrside ground. It was hot and the large window was the only way to let fresh air in, but then you had people walking by your window, also during the night, and it was therefore not very safe. The bathroom had a smell of urine, and the general impression opf the room, was it was not properly cleaned.
The breakfast was very good. I think there is also a class of rooms which are above the type we got, but all these room were booked when we checked in.
The hotel is situated 1,5 km from the town center.
** if you stay in the room grade we had, only * if you stay in the cheapest category.

Kragero does not have many hotels, and the next 2 nights we stayed at Kragero Quality resort, an exellent hotel, but far from the town center. For a resort and golf hotel, there were surprisingly crowded with families with small children.

I stayed here for two nights and am very happy - you get what you pay for - good bed and nice simple breakfast. Sportell has nice surroundings where you have great walk/run options and beaches. Sportell is just 2 km walk away from Kragerø centre, lovely stroll. The service is nice. The room is very small and mine was located in the basement which made it very dark. There is no shop close to Sportell. I am happy with my stay here and would recommend the place for those who are looking for something simple.

Booked a room at the hotel, but was moved to an apartment with no extra cost. Wow! Really nice place, you can hire boats, kayaks, canoes and el-bicycles. Little beach at site. The apartment had two bedrooms, equipped kitchen and a living area - and also a little balcony. 20 min walk to citycenter, you follow a road. Grocery store near. Standard breakfast - no extra. (Well, you can make you own waffles)

We booked 1 family room & 1 apartment for our stay. As there was few guests that day we wore offered the possibility to rather have 2 apartments for original price and that way keep the group together for the stay. Even we did not expect such kindness it was greatly apreciated gesture from the hotel.

The apartments were clean and of good size, with 2 individual bedrooms and the possibility of using a sleeping sofa in the livingroom. Each apartment has also fully equiped kitchen and a small bathroom.

If there, take the chance to walk around the boat marina and enjoy the surroundings, it was great! We will return again for sure

I accidentally ordered a room class with reduced prices if you bring your own bedding. This is a great system for those who acctually have bedding of their own, as I didn't. The friendly receptionist was able to sort out my mess with ease and provided me with a room with bedding and all for just a slightly higher price. As I spent most of my time here in town I did not get a chance to see if there were any fascilities. My room was spacious and basic with a bed, a TV, a small wardrobe and a couch of sorts. Breakfast was basic but good quality.
