We were 4 girls staying two nights, we jumped on a 1500 kr per person package deal.
The room was modern looking, concrete walls, big windows, huge bathroom, I think they called a suite. But it was basically just a big room. The double bed was too soft for my liking. I could feel my bed-mate move. And the last two girls slept on a sofa bed that made a lot of noise, so not satisfied with that. We did not sleep too well.
Other than that we were happy with the stay. The staff was very service minded. The breakfast was decent, a lot of things to choose from. I was not too happy with the coffee - which I am quite picky about.
There was a spa-treatment included in the package deal, which was lovely, and we got a bottle of bubbles and fresh fruit to our room. So the price was very good. The location too, very close to everything. The only thing I wasn't that happy with was the quality of the beds.

The hotel is centrally located and is just 100 meters from the train station in Porsgrunn. Just outside the entrance of the hotel you also have bus and taxi stop. This is a new and modern hotel, with ruff comcrete wall and fancy interior. The lobby is comined with a bar, barception, and have different games in the area for free use, and a small shop were you can buy cold stuff and also product for the bathroom if needed.I liked the breakfast a lot, just what you need, and good as well, and with a smiling waiter. Parking house in the basement, but externally operated. Payment service throug car registration number recognition from OnePark, but also Easypark was available. Elevator from the parking garage and up to the hotel floors.

A few steps from the train station and the beautiful river walk this hotel is a nice addition and experience in Porsgrunn. Clean, modern rooms with an industrial touch (concrete walls and ceiling). Happy to say the rooms had a comfortable temperature when it was sizzling hot outside. The bath room is basic like all hotels in this chain - and the water pressure in the shower is good. Nice staff and spacey lobby with a small bar. Don’t expect great views from this hotel but there is an outdoor terrace on the eight floor with a few tables where you can sit and enjoy. On an international scale I guess this would be three stars. I’d come back here.

I stayed in a corner room with a great view of the city. Cool and modern architecture, a delicate bathroom and spacious area. The hotel had a very central location with walking distance to the river promenade and the city's restaurants.

Prepare to cheque in in the bar, perhaps a little bit confusing. Room is clean, so is the bathroom. Comfortable sofa, bed is good - I slept the whole night through! Noise in the surroundings is low thinking of the hotel is situated in the middle of the town. In walking distance from the railway station. Paring is easy in the garage in the basement. (additional fee). Dit I mention the staff? Very nice and caring all over. The breakfast could have been served before 7:30, though.

Poor breakfast and poor room service under the statement delivering a low price accomodation is not quite true. Several hotels nearby offer better price and in my opinion much better breakfast. 150NOK for parking is also not cheap. I will avoid this hotel in the future if nearby hotels has free rooms.

As always with hotels, I place a great deal of emphasis on the attitude on the staff and I wasn't let down in this hotel. They are service minded and very friendly. The hotel itself is literally one minute from the train station. Very modern, clean and welcoming, good size room with a desk and as a previous reviewer mentioned, the electric sockets are all in the right places. Nice bathroom and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast whilst limited is certainly adequate. Local restaurants are within just a few minutes walking distance. Highly recommended and I will return.

I had a very nice stay together with my wife. Stayed in the 7 floor with a nice view over Porsgrunn north. When u have a huge factory like Hydro nearby. This hotel are aws designed. Thanks for a perfect service and a great dinner.

It has to be said that some of the rooms have a lovely view over the railway station. And some of the rooms feels spacious.
However! The hotel draws inspiration from the local industrial period. Although this is a matter of taste, I find it cold and very uninspiring.
There was a foul smell in the hotel rooms as well. The staff said it was because of a fault with the furniture throughout the hotel.
I find it puzzling that a leading brand, Choice Hotels, makes such a fault.
Breakfast was uninspiring.
Thon Hotels has a MUCH better breakfast choice.
Would I stay here again? Doubtful. Would I recommend the hotel? No.

The rooms are rather small and the Untreated and unprocessed ceilings and side walls with sheer concrete are anything but cozy. Only two towels, the furniture is substandard with regards to quality and comfort. Interested lobby, fast check in and check out is known from the comfort group. Bottom line is that I have of the architect was a beginner or he was short on his budget because everything looks unfinished
