Work booked this hotel in centre of Bergen. Nice location with some views of the river. Friendly English speaking staff. Free fast wifi throughout the hotel. I love the complementary waffles at 1600. No tea and coffee in room, you have to go downstairs for it. I had a large corner room , however it had no views :( Hot... More

The hotel is charming, and has an ok exersice-room. The thing that amazed me the most was the basement. Its antique style is really fascinating and encourages long talks accompanied by some of the great wines offered by the in-house Altona winebar.

Stayed 4 nights. Hotel is in a good location. Breakfast good with variety of hot and cold food. Gluten free bread was available upon request. Wait staff very friendly. We booked a family room. We were so pleased that we chose to stay in the Augustin during our recent trip to Bergen. We had booked many months ahead, requesting a higher-up corner room in the old section of the hotel. Happily, the hotel honoured our request. We loved our room, which although quite small had enough space for a small seating area. It also... More

I and my parents have stayed in Augustin for 5 days in 3 persons room. We have spent an exciting week and are very pleased by service of our hotel. First of all price/ value ration is very high: location is great (2-5 min till main sights of the city, though it is not noisy in surpundings), nice personnel of... More

This is not the most modern place but its location is excellent, the rooms are large and clean, it has free wifi, a good workout room, and a nice breakfast. There is always coffee available. The price was very reasonable. It was fairly quiet with only a little street noise and none from other rooms. The shades did not completely... More

I was pleased to find this hotel on a booking website. It was much more reasonably priced than others in the area. It is walking distance to the harbour, fish market, etc. Our room was a decent size, however our view from the second floor overlooked a dumpster in an alley. Large windows opened to let in air as it... More

We had just completed a 12-day cruise along the west coast of Norway, and were delighted with our room at the Augustin Hotel. It was a corner room on the 5th floor with a great view of the harbor and historic Bryggen. With windows (that opened!) on 2 sides it was light and airy, clean and spacious -- just what... More

A centrally located hotel in Bergen with cooperative staff. We spent two nights in a basic room. The sofa set did not match the small dimension of available space. View was limited from our windows.
