I have been fortunate to stay at Darby's Inn with Wenche and Paul on two separate occasions in the past year. I travel frequently for business and it is always a pleasure arriving at Darby's Inn. The hosts are fantastic, the rooms are most comfortable, the house itself is stunningly beautiful (especially the breakfast room), and there is good wifi....

I stayed here for 12 days, long enough to get bored and find faults :). But this place makes you feel at home. What really touched me is the warmth and love Wenche has shared in this time. Mornings are beautiful when you are greeted with a smile and hot cup of tea. For me Wenche did go extra mile...

What an amazing find! Forget about staying in hotels when in Stavanger...this is the place to go!! Beautiful house is a very quite location, just a 10 min walk from the city centre and a 5 min walk from the airport shuttle bus stop. The house is beautiful, the rooms are grand, spacious and clean. There is a little communal...

What is there not to love about Darby's Inn?! Nothing!!! Darby's Inn is one of the most lovely and comfortable B&B's, I have ever stayed in. The owners, Paul and Wenche, have created a beautiful inn, that is extremely well-maintained, filled with exquisite antiques and furnishings, in a great neighborhood, and spotlessly clean. Not only is the inn a charming...

I booked a hotel in Stavanger without properly checking except for price. The hotel was very nicely decorated with all sorts of items and the English owners were super friendly, they even let me park my car in their private garage. Super, also the breakfast!

Wonderful hospitality, great nights' sleep and superb Norwegian breakfast in luxurious surroundings of Paul and Wenche's boutique home. This place is central and very special - a world away from the corporate anonymity of the Radison without feeling pressured by the presence of the owners.

It has a great location, just a little walk up the hill. It's a very pretty area with beautiful houses. This feels like it's the essence of Stavanger. Wenche and Paul are such lovely people. So helpful, friendly and welcoming. The whole atmosphere is so homely, and really you don't want to leave again! The room and bathroom is great,...

For anyone looking for accomodation in Stavanger I highly recommend you consider Darby's Inn. Nothing was ever too much trouble and it was a pleasure to be greeted by Paul and Wenche every morning. Staying with 2 young children was no trouble at all and were warmly welcomed. We found the location to be very convenient if you want to...

Quite apart from the numerous superlatives John and I expressed the minute we arrived at Wenche and Paul's stunning home, is that is exactly what it became for us during our six night stay - our home. We were working as volunteers at Stavanger's annual International Chamber Music Festival, which meant we were coming and going at all times of...

QLocated just a few minutes walk from the central / harbour area of Stavanger, and with free parking provided in their garage (subject to availability), we couldn't have been more happy with this lovely retreat. This huge old house has a lovely warm feeling to it, with old world furnishings, wood panelling, and some really nice decorative pieces from Paul...
