We took a 4-night break in Eastbourne and decided on a B&B rather than a hotel. We chose The Mowbray because of the reviews of the breakfast. It is the end of a terrace of a 4-storey-plus-basement Edwardian houses and looks quite imposing as you...More
First time that I have stayed at the Mowbray and it was brilliant!
The staff were friendly and very helpful, accepting deliveries on my behalf and leaving them in my room ready for me.
Excellent location next to the theatre, tennis and sea front
The room is clean, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is light and clean and comfortable. The guesthouse is well situated to visit the city.
Breakfast is excellent and served in a very friendly and polite way; there a silent, agreable atmosphere in the breakfast...More

Hello, Thank you for contacting the Mowbray. We do have availability for the dates you are looking for and we have rooms available on all floors. We are an Edwardian House and so there are 7 steps to get into the building from the street. Then we do have a lift that services all of the bedrooms. There is a staircase down to the dining room which is on our lower level that is not serviced by the lift. But there are bannisters either side of the stairs. If these are a problem for you we can always set breakfast up for you in the lounge. Thank you to all our fans who also posted a reply - good to hear from you all again. If you wish to book please call 01323 720012 or email us as we can always match or perhaps improve on online rates (depending on the rates of course)
