My wife and I are retired (75 years) and were in Eastbourne on Church business. The email contact from Frank was first class The young lady who greeted us and looked after us all the time was most thoughtful and respectfully polite. The room was very comfortable and spacious The full breakfast was excellent and well presented. We will definately...

Stayed here for one night only and had a very good experience. The staff are very helpful and friendly and gave us very good advice on where to take good photographs. The breakfast was outstanding, the food was very fresh and cooked on order. Very well priced and would definitely stay here again when I come visit

+Really comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast - was able to get an earlier breakfast which I needed. Very near my conference venue and yet only a short walk to the sea. Near restaurants and shops.Useful to have an electric heater in the room for when the main heating went off. There is a lift which is a bit quirky but it...

As a group of 8 we stayed at the hotel whilst attending a conference at nearby Devonshire Park Complex (5 minutes walk). The town centre is 15 -20 minutes walk and the seafront just a couple of minutes away. The overall decor was dated and showing signs of wear and tear but nevertheless clean and functional. We stayed in a...

We booked a superior room at the Da Vinci hotel to stay in Eastbourne for the night and I chose it because it was near the seafront and cheap so wasn't expecting much. However when we got there, the room was lovely and spacious (plenty of floor space and high ceilings) - we really loved it. We liked the artwork...

Having read good reviews thought this would be a good hotel.the room was awful.laminate floor , no central heating , an electric heater.the windows were drafty and held shut with wedges and bits of tissue.we only stayed one night and booked into another hotel. The breakfast was the only good thing sadly.for a superior double room it was poor and dreary...

This hotel is right off the beach and perfectly located. I had booked a room for one, and it was as expected, and just fine. Just across from the water and a quick walk to where everything is going on in town. Breakfast was great, and they actually took your order for what you wanted. An older building and a...

Very friendly welcome and staff.  The manager was everywhere. He cooked breakfast, showed us our room, helped is with requests etc and was seen everywhere in the hotel. He was willing to help with mobilty scooter, and even checked the rules concerning our Blue badge parking in front of the hotel. Music choice throughout the hotel was very chill and...

I visit Eastbourne to see my ancient Mother, and this is as central as it gets, comfortable, clean and welcoming. Breakfast keeps you going all day if need be, and singles and couples don't have to be in the family dining room. Recommended.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The da Vinci is ideally situated in Howard Square just off the sea front and just around the corner from the Devonshire Theatre, the Congress Theatre, the Winter Gardens, The Birley Centre and Eastbourne's new arts centre. We are a short walk to the town's shops and a lot of excellent restaurants which we are happy to recommend. The da Vinci has 20 en-suite rooms which each feature a well known (and not so well known) artist. The rooms have all been refurbished and redecorated to a very high standard and each of the rooms is unique so that no two rooms are the same. On the ground floor is the hotel art gallery featuring original art work by local professional artists as well as a resident's lounge (with full licensed facilities), two breakfast rooms and a conference room (which you can hire). ... more   less
