Room was old and dirty and in need of decorating. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone and we had a very bad experience, the only thing that was good was the sea view from our window. In the evening and night the reception was left unattended.

Great friendly staff, nice sea views but tired hotel in need of some TLC. good location but just NOT worth the money charged. during C-19 restrictions of travel I find it a shame that UK hotels like this one overcharge when they should be encouraging people to spend their money taking UK vacations at a reasonable cost. We Should have been in Spain at a 5 star spa hotel which was a lot cheaper per night and that is the competition that the UK holiday industry wants to win back.

Stayed here for Hubby's birthday, we had a ground floor room behind reception. Our room was clean, comfortable and warm. The only problem we encountered on the first night was rattling windows which we soon fixed with a magazine. Friendly staff and well situated from the town. Would stay here again

Nothing good at all to say on this abysmal hotel. Reading other reviews I would think I was in the wrong hotel. The list of complaints is endless but here's a sample: Dirty rooms. My room hadn't been cleaned when I was given the room key at the start.I would not have stayed at the first glance but was with a party of others. No cleaning whatsoever during my stay. Just made the bed! Very grubby toilet and shower and well worn towels that had orange stains on them like rust. Thick dust on two glass shelves on bedside table. I ran finger over them in the hope the bed maker would spot in and be tempted to get a duster out. Filth under bed. Wardrobe smelt very musty so I lived out of my case for my stay. No toilet rolls in room so had to visit reception to pick one each time I needed one. Couldn't ring reception to request as phone wasn't connected. Couple of mornings no heating and worse still each morning no hot water. Had to use cold shower. Really no joke!! Food was not great with some meals being inedible. All things that should be a basic requirement in whatever the rated star for a hotel. Eastbourne is just beautiful. It's such a shame this hotel is not, given its prime position on the seafront. So disappointed.
