Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is the BEST guest house in Eastbourne!! Mel is always so welcoming and friendly! Such a delightful place. The rooms are beautifully decorated. It’s so close to the amenities of Eastbourne, theatres and beach are literally 5 mins walk. Would highly recommend staying here!

Lovely position, adjacent to the Grand Hotel, walking distance from shops. The staff are friendly and accomodate with care to the different needs of visitors. Other visitors are nice to talk to. Great place to stay at and great value too. From when I phoned to book to when I was welcomed by Emily. I felt this was a warm friendly home from home.

Convenient location for the sea front and not too far from the town centre, a small and friendly guest house offering a fine breakfast. While there is plenty of street parking, it may be tight at peak times to find a space. Rooms well provided for. Steep stairs to bear in mind. Would definetely stay again.

Best B&B for comfort food and is exceptionally clean. Very quirky which we love. Staff take pride in what they do. They choice for breakfast is outstanding plus they take extreme care to make sure allergy sufferers feel safe.

I chose this B&B after reading so many great reviews on Tripadvisor. I can confirm that this was a wonderful place to stay. The welcome by Melanie was friendly. My room & ensuite were immaculate & very comfortable. I was on the top floor and heard little noise from the rest of the building. There was very little traffic outside the next morning, so this added to the peaceful atmosphere. There's a large patrons lounge with comfortable seating & an honesty basket of snacks and drinks. I had seen photos on TripAdvisor of the breakfast choices, but didn't quite believe that they would be that generous in size, or so much choice. I was torn between choosing the black pudding brunch or the full cooked breakfast. So I asked for the cooked breakfast with additional black pudding. There was no problem providing this. The portions were so large that I had to have a "doggy bag" to take home. I saw someone's scrambled eggs with smoked salmon & was amazed at how much was crammed on the plate - it looked delicious. I had not realised, when booking, that the B&B is very dog friendly & allows dogs in bedrooms and dining room. Parking was on the road, a few roads away, with no restrictions. The Cherry Tree location is ideal for a short walk to the beach and theatres. I most definitely will be staying here again. Thanks so much Melanie for a lovely stay.

This very lovely place - a short walk from the shore - is most dog friendly(!) without the down sides of some dog feiendly places. The Hotels fit out was choosen with an eye for detail - and is well taken care off. This place deserves perfect rating. While we stayed for one night only, we enjoyed each moment. We would have loved to visit the Cherry Tree Hotel again, on our way back home - but unfortunateley it was already booked out. Place/Host/Breakfast all ***** / talking away one * for Bathroom size.
