Not too far from the pier and thence onwards to the centre of Eastbourne, the East Beach is a tidy and well run establishment. We had the good fortune of picking up a luxury room at a bargain price, so we were well impressed by the "bang for buck" which we got. Sure, it's not without it's defects, but you can see that renovation work is being done, presumably as and when finances permit (and we know that the hotel trade has had little income for over a year). The breakfasts were fine and we had the evening meal one one night, which was also very nice, but a limited menu. The staff are unobtrusive but always there if you need anything - always a good sign IMHO. Parking is hit and miss - I could not get a nearby spot when we arrived but you can unload right outside the door but even though I left the car in the loading bay for nearly an hour, nothing became available, so I parked in a public carpark about half a mile away; next day, there were spaces available right outside most of the day. One grumble is that the hotel does not advertise the parking vouchers scheme, so if you don't know about it, you end up paying the full whack at the meter. Overall, a good (and in our case, great value) hotel, which I would have no hesitation in returning to if we were in Eastbourne again.…
This is a nice friendly hotel with comfortable, clean rooms. Our Sea view room was very nice. The sun terrace is a pleasant area and the lounge is comfortable. Breakfast is very good and served to your table. There are some shops nearby but the main shopping area and restaurants & pier are a fair walk from the hotel. It can be hard to park sometimes. The beach is just across the road. A pleasant, quiet place to stay.
Highly recommend East Beach Hotel. Family run. We had a fabulous time. We had room 28 for the first night beautiful sea view, when we opened the room door my mouth dropped open it was stunning, huge bathroom decor great bed soooo comfy. The rest of the stay was room 8 also very nice. Hotel situated directly opposite the beach. Breakfast was very tasty full English we had everyday. Juices, cereals plenty of choice fried eggs, poached, scrambled. The only very small constructive criticism is that the service at breakfast was at times disjointed. I did mention this to a family member of the hotel and the next day things had improved ☺ overall we had a very comfy and relaxed stay, we will be going back that's for sure! We also had fantastic weather and was on the beach everyday because that's what we like to do. We'll done East Beach Hotel see you soon …
Our last night tonight and our party of 6 have been really impressed and loved our stay. Spent a great 3 nights at the East Beach Hotel in Eastbourne. The hotel is right on the front across the road from the beach. Parking out front is £2 pd with a permit from the hotel. Bus stop right outside and a short walk to the pier and do lovely restaurants. Hotel is beautifully decorated with a lovely breakfast room, sitting room and the front conservatory and outside seating was perfect as we had beautiful weather. Bar is open in the evening and food is available and looked delicious. Beds were super comfy and bedrooms nicely decorated. Lift to upper floors. Tea and coffee and fridge. Breakfast was tasty and staff were really helpful, friendly and overall we all enjoyed our stay and would easily recommend and return. Great few days 👌…
Great hotel in a great location. The room were clean and with the right facilities. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The gentlemen who greeted us at the desk (don't know his name) gave us great info on the car parking and some of the shops. Very helpful to us out of towner. Breakfast was great and the server, Sarah who was nice and friendly. Great stay.
