Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have traveled extensively over the last 50+ years and am glad I found The Devonshire Park Hotel. I have been staying here for the last 16 years (minus the pandemic lock-down period). I get to England from the States twice a year now and this is my home away from home. I have said to many of my friends that it is like staying with old friends. The hotel is comfortable, clean and well maintained. The staff are professional, friendly, and courteous. The location is great - just a short walk to the center of town. And they have there own car park which makes it ideal for hopping in the car to go see friends in the area. Plus! They do the best cooked breakfast! I look forward to being back again in the Spring.

I booked this hotel primarily because of its location and hoped it would be good. I was NOT disappointed. From the moment we arrived it proved an excellent choice and ticked all our boxes: very friendly and helpful reception; spacious twin room and single rooms complete with easy chairs; large bathroom with bath and shower cubicle, hand wash, shower gel and hand cream; very good tea and coffee facilities with biscuits and a bottle of water each. Its situation was ideal for us: just a very short walk to theatres, restaurants and the beach. Tennis centre and exhibition centre just across the road. The car remained free of charge in the car park all weekend. Breakfast was delicious and well served. Very good value for money. Would definitely choose to stay there again.

Lovely little hotel in Eastbourne. Superb location in the town ideal for the tennis, theatre and Stage Door pub and very close to the seafront. Free parking in small guest's car park at the side of the hotel was a bonus. Pleasant and helpful staff on check in and I liked all the old stage and musical posters on the wall. The decor is old style which I liked and there's two lovely sitting rooms and a small bar. My room with a twin bed was large. Nice high ceilings and a big radiator that worked really well. The bathroom was big but the actual shower unit was small. It was the only thing I wasn't totally keen on in my stay. I had breakfast in the restaurant which came with my package and this was really nice and the service good. A lovely hotel and I shall look forward to returning soon.

Hotel was lovely and staff were very welcoming. Room was very clean, spacious and warm and the breakfast fantastic. Location is great, only few minutes from the beach and 10-15 mins walk from The royal Hippodrome Theatre. Would definitely stay here again if staying overnight in Eastbourne and would recommend to friends and family

A lovely stay. We needed to check in early to change for a lunchtime function and this was no problem. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room and bathroom were scrupulously clean, comfortable bed and delicious breakfast. Very good location opposite the Towner Gallery.

We have had many happy family gatherings at the Devonshire Park Hotel over the years, and our most recent gathering on New Year's Eve was no exception. The managers and staff are always very friendly and helpful, and are always quick to hold the doors open for us on arrival and to do everything they can to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We would heartily recommend this hotel.

Stayed one night in the Willmington Suite. Had a work meeting during the day and the staff were fabulous, allowed us to take over a lounge, provided refreshments and couldn't have done enough for us. The suite was a lovely surprise very tidy, clean and comfortable. Only downer was it was so hot! The heating was on high, and I had to open 2 windows and prayed for a breeze. The room otherwise was perfect. The onsite restaurant was delightful once again staff where very attentive and the food was delicious and the portions big! This really his a gem of a place and I hope to return

Another wonderful stay at this superb Hotel. Harry and the staff always ensure a great stay by making us all feel so welcome & nothing is too much trouble. The atmosphere, food & accommodation are exemplary. The rooms are kept to a very high standard of cleanliness & provide everything you could wish for. The beds are so comfortable & we always have a great night’s sleep. The food is wonderful & there’s a marvellous choice at breakfast. We have been visiting this Hotel at Christmas & New Year for many years as it makes the festive season so enjoyable for us. Thank you Harry & all the staff you do a wonderful job.

We spent Christmas at the Devonshire on a special event that they offered, this was a relaxed time and more like a traditional Christmas with plenty of food, and good company.. The staff are always helpful and friendly, we stayed in the Garden suite which has access to a small patio, although more useful in warmer weather. The Restaurant served a good selection of food and there is a cosy Bar area, The hotel is ideally situated for the Town and Seafront.
