To stay at the Devonshire Park Hotel is like being part of the family.
Always a lovely welcome on arrival, a comfortable room with mod cons and a very comfortable bed.
It has a front and back garden to relax in apart from the lounges in the Hotel.
They have their own car park with an entrance to the Hotel, a lift to the ground floor for Reception with a walk from the rear of the Hotel to the front. The lift also serves the upper floors.
Breakfast can be a substantial meal to start the day and the evening menu changes daily also excellent value.
Being so close to the beach, the Tennis the Art Gallery and many other attractions you'll be hard pushed to find a better Hotel to stay in. The staff are all friendly making you feel at home immediately. A very relaxing place to stay.

We stayed with 2 other couples on Friday 31st January and we were all pleasantly surprised by what a lovely hotel the Devonshire Park Hotel is.
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. The standard of furnishing for a British seaside hotel was very good, the rooms were very comfortable and exceptionally clean.
We were staying on a cream tea, dinner, bed & breakfast package, a lovely warm scone and tea in the afternoon and then a very comprehensive menu to choose from for dinner and a great selection of self service continental items and a great menu for the hot items all cooked to order.
The staff at the hotel were so lovely and nothing was too much trouble, we will definitely be returning for another visit.
On our second day we went over to Hastings which was lovely with lots of free museums along the seafront and from there we went onto Battle.
All in all a very enjoyable weekend by the seaside.

This is our 4th stay at the Devonshire Park hotel and won't be our last.
The rooms our very clean with pristine bedding and towels (bath sheets) free bottled water/biscuits and tea/coffee and hot chocolate.
Our evening meal was excellent maybe too large portions we could not eat the extra veg. The even supply afternoon tea and scones so light.
Breakfast is outstanding with so much to choose from.
Thank you to everyone involved.

The perfect weekend, our room was at the top of the hotel and was well appointed. good views over the town, and sofa to relax in. The bed was extremely large and very comfortable, and the bathroom with separate shower was spotlessly clean.
we had dinner on the first night, which was good , two amazing breakfasts, and a afternoon cream tea during our stay, complimented by good wine. we were able to relax and read our books in one of the many lounges and felt at home.

the hotel is ideally placed for the sea front, congress and Devonshire park theatres, and town is just a short walk away.

All of the staff are extremely professional, friendly, but allow you to relax.

even storm Ciara couldn't dampen our spirits over our well earned break.

From the moment of our arrival, a group of 7 friends, we were made totally welcome. There are several lounges, with comfortable armchairs and sofas, and I loved the old telephones, cameras and record players as decoration. Staff were really friendly, and willing to assist. We ate in the restaurant whereqwith the intolerances of two of our party. The food was beautifully cooked and presented, and plentiful. The chef really cares about his art. Breakfasts were delightful too. The fruit salad is the best I've seen, completely fresh with a great variety of fruit, melon, pineapple, lychee, watermelon, as well as berries and grapes and apples: pink grapefruit was perfectly segmented with no pith. Cooked food was delicious, with poached or scrambled eggs done to perfection, and a variety of traditional dishes to suit all tastes. Some chose a poached egg, feta and avocado dish hollandaise on a muffin which they really enjoyed. Our bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and well appointed and supplied, with soft fluffy white towels. I liked the ability to make several different drinks, as there were hot chocolate, and various other teas. Altogether a lovely weekend.

Stayed here for 3 nights just to get away from work. Turned out to be during an unrelenting heatwave! Our family shared two rooms, one significantly better than the other, being on the top floor of the building with no fan or air conditioning it was boiling the first night. The other room was on the first floor and was much cooler. Fans seemed to be given out on the second day, but we were only given one for the cooler room! Ended up moving it to the boiling top room. We were warmly welcomed to the hotel and the staff were generally very friendly. Apart from one member who seemed peeved that he was there alone and couldn't organise a cream tea to be served for us at 15:00. The location is ideal walking distance from the quiet ends of the beach and the city centre. There was ample parking, despite it being a small and hard to manoeuvre car park; there are also two electric car charging points which are very useful. The included breakfast was average and dinner was very nice, despite service being on the slow side. The measures put in place for COVID were substantial, however, only restaurant staff wore masks. One major problem was the fact the shower in the top floor bedroom hardly worked, the water pressure was not great enough to work without tipping the head down first, once that was down there was only hot water and not a substantial amount of water to wash in. Feel like that is a problem one shouldn't get in a 3-star hotel in England. We ended up having to use the bath. I also find it entertaining that some reviews say they couldn't get any hot water at all!! Granted it is an old building that could do with an entirely new plumbing system. The bedroom itself was comfortable with luggage racks, comfortable bedding and pretty good views on either side of the hotel. Overall, what they did, they did well, with a few minor discrepancies. I would probably stay again.

This hotel is perfectly situated, being opposite the theatre and also only a 10 minute walk from town and 5 from the seafront. Our room was clean and spacious and the bed very comfortable and properly made when the room was serviced. We opted for an en suite with shower cubicle not a bath. The cubicle was large and the shower was powerful and maintained it's temperature. The Devonshire Park staff were all helpful and good natured. There are several guest seating areas and a reasonably stocked bar. An added bonus is the on site car park. We will definitely stay here again.

Our room was a suite of two rooms as a treat for my birthday and our 25th Wedding anniversary. The bed was very comfortable and spacious and the room well decorated with all the facilities we needed except a bin in the bedoom (by the bed) as don't like throwing dirty hankies or tissues on a table which was needed for my Bible as well. The quality mattress and pillows and bedclothes were wonderful. The quality TV was well positioned facing the bed. The adjacent suite had both a double sofa and armchair which were also very comfortable.Top notch decor. The bathroom perfectly equipped. Be aware if in the lower ground floor suite the cleaners need to collect their stuff from an adjacent cupboard at 7.30 ish. Fabulous cream tea but talk to reception if you want to avoid a charge if it is brought to your room as if part of the package I could not see why I had to eat in the bar. The guy on the desk saw my point. The restaurant breakfast and dinner were superb and we could get to the theatre in the library in good time for 7.p.m. and back from the Anglican church down the road by 8.15 to eat the excellent dinner. Fresh cooked breakfast was very tasty and I was able to swap the hash browns for an extra egg without demur. Extremely thoughtful and helpful service.
The Art gallery over the road was shut on a Monday during school half term. Parking proved adequate in the hotel car park
Overall I enjoyed it greatly and only sad I missed the Groupon deal by hours! Still worth it though.

My wife & I stayed for 7 nights in one of the superior type bedrooms, it was a good size clean & comfortable room with plenty of storage space with on suit bath/shower room. One criticism - we returned in the evening on one night to find the room had not been services or cleaned, this was reported at reception who offered to get the room serviced which we declined as we did not want the disturbance in the evening.
We had a meal in the hotel restaurant on our first evening which we enjoyed, the service was discrete & the food was good, this also applied to the breakfasts where table service offered a variety of choice.
The staff were generally helpful & friendly & the hotel has a fair sized car park with a new electric vehicle charging point.
The hotel is close to the Towner Art Gallery & to the theatres & is a short walk to the sea front & Wish Tower.
