Travellers' Choice
We are a family run hotel with an excellent location on the seafront of Eastbourne looking across the bay towards the Pier. We are only a short walk to the pier, town and amenities. There is a bus stop directly opposite the hotel with services running along the coast and into town. We have a thriving Lunch Club with top class speakers; regular Sunday Lunches with Jazz, Cabaret Dinners, and a Gourmet Club. We are the perfect hotel for any occasion whether it be just a lunch or staying with us in one of our excellent bedrooms.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed at this hotel overnight to attend their Lunch Club function where they organise interesting speakers and also include a three course lunch. In this instance, the speaker was an actress from my youth. Not sure what to expect, I had a wonderful time and was made very welcome by management, staff and regulars. The speaker was very entertaining and made time for all. It was well worth travelling down to Eastbourne for what turned out to be a very enjoyable and well organised event. My single room was small but had a stunning sea view. The room was clean, warm and had everything I required plus a balcony. The staff were all friendly, polite and helpful throughout my stay. I believe it to be the Restaurant Manager, who made time to speak and sit me where I felt most comfortable for the event. I enjoyed sitting in their sun lounge for meals and in the bar area which contains many interesting photographs on the walls. The food was excellent and plentiful. The event itself clearly is a big draw for locals and everyone made me very welcome. The hotel is a short walk from the pier but was quiet at night. I pre-booked parking which is limited but again well organised. A huge thank you to all at the hotel which I understand is family run. I was advised by lunch guests this hotel is one of the best in Eastbourne. From my stay I can believe it. Thank you to all.

This was my first visit to the Langham. And from the moment I stepped in, the staff made me feel welcome and well looked after. The dinner bed and breakfast deal was incredibly good value. My food was delicious, flavoursome, fresh and well presented. The waiting staff were very lovely. My single room was basic, although had everything I needed. Including a bath tub. It could have been made slightly better if it was aired more often, as it was slightly stuffy, but I opened the window and all was well. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and came with a sea view. Beautiful. Perfect location and made to feel very welcome. Highly recommended. Thank you.

We come three times a year and have done for the last three years when we discovered this gem of a hotel, and will coming for many more years to come. We would never go anywhere else. Its home from home. The staff are amazing, caring attentive, the rooms are spotless and spacious. Mr Kirkby is a lovely man, always greets us and stops to talk when he sees us around the hotel. Every member of staff are well trained and so welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is amazing. We love the cocktail bar. The dinner menu is excellent. The breakfast choice of freshly cooked food is out of this world. We are back again in May and it cannot come soon enough. Many thanks to everyone. See you soon. Dawn and Bill Ledger.

Great location, delightful staff, a comfortable room, spotlessly clean and an excellent breakfast. One of the most enjoyable hotel experiences we have had in recent memory. Thank you to all at the Langham for making our stay, brief as it was, a hugely enjoyable one

Well what can I say other than this is an excellent hotel to stay in. We live in Eastbourne but decided to make use of their winter special for our friends 70th. We ended up staying an extra night so we stayed for three nights. It is exceptionally clean, staff very hospitable, and the food is excellent. Would highly recommend to stay here. In my opinion this is the best hotel to stay in Eastbourne. The owner will also mingle with guests too and nothing is too much trouble.

Enjoyed a wonderful 2 night stay at The Langham hotel, Eastbourne, this week. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Beautiful well appointed bedroom with sea view. Excellent breakfast choices and dinner menus. How nice to find a hotel offering a separate Vegan dinner menu. Would throughly recommend a stay at The Langham.

Our room was really nice. The William Morris decor was lovely. So nice to see a room with character and the little touches such as the truffles, biscuits and fresh milk were appreciated. The staff were very friendly and having a bar were you could order meals was very convenient. We would definitely come back again.

What a lovely weekend (apart from the weather) This is a charming hotel with well trained staff who are eager to please. The Valentine dinner was a huge success, judging by the amount of people on the dance floor after an excellent meal. Well done to all involved in making it a memorable visit!!!

We have just spent time at Th Langham Hotel for a Valentines weekend break. We went last year and again this year, and both times were wonderful. The hotel is warm and friendly, very clean and comfortable. All the staff are amazing and always very welcoming, it is a home from home. The food is always excellent and served by the very efficient and friendly restaurant staff. We have lived in Eastbourne for over fifty years, and feel the Langham is the best hotel in Eastbourne, and very much a go to place for us for coffee mornings and Sunday lunch, where we really enjoy Barney and Paula (Duality) who entertain about once a month there, and also for Valentines dinner. The owners Neil and Wendy, and their wonderful team of lstaff deserve every success and we cannot praise them all highly enough. Graham and Wendy Hersey
