This hotel is not the prettiest you will find in Eastbourne, but you will be hard pressed to find a better located hotel. It is right on the seafront and close to, the Downs, theatres, the town centre and railway station. Rooms and communal areas are all spotlessly clean. The beds are very comfortable with great duvet and pillows. Kettle for tea and coffee in the room. Generous and varied breakfast. The staff are excellent, friendly and accommodating.

Had a lovely sea view restaurant staff was excellent and Pauline's and the other man in management in the restaurant and bar staff was excellent was let down when having the fireworks with plastic cups and quest what was staying couldn't get seat outside people who wasn't staying brought there own food and drinks and where out side could do a bit more on menus each night rooms was excellent and cleaning staff couldn't fault and reception staff two the git the best staff at this hotel m some quest where thowing ash down from outside the restaurant to the stayed from next level and landed on by me we stayed for 2 weeks from September to Oct

Stayed overnight, as close to the theatres to see a show within walking distance..Plenty of places to eat and have a drink nearby too. Check in staff at reception are very efficient, friendly and helpful with regards to any queries. ..for the fun bit..? if you like playing where is the Wally game, then The View has adapted it's own version of the cartoon character, with where is the lift experience?! Press a button on any of the floors for 3 possible lifts and guess which door might or might not open ( no arrows or numbers on display anywhere) Now..let's continue with Bingo..exciting ..think you hear a lift arriving (nope) then nothing and you can start again and possibly again?! If we were gamblers, could make a fortune on taking bets from guests/ punters as to which door would actually eventually open.. lol! Fabulous seaview room on the 4th floor, on a sunny November day. Room spotless and bed so comfy! Sunrise spectacular to watch on the balcony. So much choice for breakfast too, I will honestly say, if it is not for you then I will be suprised. Well done The View.. Our room, with a balcony on the seafront, was such a treat. To look out at the sea in all weathers and on the balcony on a rare sunny October day was great. The staff were exceptional, friendly and helpful and always smiling. The only down side was the menu, limited choice and not always delicious. Overall, we had a great stay.

I met with a colleague yesterday and worked from the Vista Cafe all day. The place is spotless, nice and relaxed and has a great view of the sea. It was a sunny day which probably helped with the view. Whilst I am a local, it was my colleague's first time in Eastbourne and I was nervous about where to take them, but I can safely say this worked out great and I would do it again.

We booked in and enquired about parking. We were told we could pay for on street parking but we would have to purchase a permit from the hotel. This we agreed to but had to fork out 2.00 on the spot. This before we had even checked in. Surely this could have been added to our bill. I left my wife to go to our room as I had to rush off to visit a friend in the local hospital. When I returned and went up to our room, I was disappointed to find a tiny room. There was barely room to get out of bed on my side. There was no reading light on 1 side of the bed. There was no bottled water in the room to my suprise .The view from the room over the sea was excellent though. Breakfast was good and the staff were helpful. Upon checking out we mentioned our complains and the receptionist’s reply was ‘ oh well you asked for a sea view’. The logic escapes me still a week later. Maybe they think you will be transfixed by the view and not need to get out of bed. The hotel was fairly empty judging by my short time in it and a larger room should have been offered up on check in.no explanation was offered for the lack of a reading light on one side maybe there wasn’t enough space for an electrician to install one.…

Great hotel and food, only a couple of small gripes, the room 702 was very small for a double and should be a single but great views. Also over two days of in and out of reception not once did the receptionists greet you with a welcome. Apart from that the hotel is right on the seafront and handy for the town and the theatres. I would stay again.

A really excellent if pricey hotel. We had a suite - large and roomy facing the sea. Food was excellent but avoid the buffet in the evening. staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful. You can get a £2 a day parking tickets from reception and there were plenty of places to park. Hotel owned by UNITE the union and they do hold meetings and other get togethers there.

Visited for a weekend whilst meeting friends who lived locally. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Hotel is clean and well organised. Room was ok but given the hotel name our view was of an extraction system and the town. Room was clean comfortable and sleep quality was very good. Breakfast was lovely lots of choice and great quality. Bar area is very nice service is great we think the cocktails were a little expensive for what you get £9.00 for a Prosecco size glass. Would stay again but next time request a sea view.

Lovely comfortable hotel. Room had a fabulous view with two chairs on the balcony to watch the world go by. Bed and linen were fabulous. Went down to the bar before dinner and greeted by a friendly and efficient staff member who made us some delicious cocktails bringing them over to our table. We were informed that there would be a carvery meal in the restaurant for that evening which was very tasty. The only negative it was a bit chilly in the restaurant and the staff did not come back to our table once seated. We decided to go up to the carvery and get our food as no one had come to take our drinks order.. we had eaten half of our meal before I managed to catch a member of staff to get us a drink, once delivered we never saw anyone else again which was a shame.
