Stayed 2 nights from 9 Sept. Wonderful welcome from Wendy in her beautiful home, really loved the twin room overlooking the garden and felt extremely safe. Took advantage of Wendy & David's lovely garden during the good weather, and the whole experience was a calm oasis in the current circumstances.

My myself and my husband recently stayed at this beautiful hotel over the bank holiday weekend this year 2020. The hotel is a beautiful home with beautiful gardens. It is located in a tranquil area yet very close to all amenities and destinations in East Sussex. Our hosts were very welcoming and looked after us with their warm hospitality. Breakfast is lovely with fresh produce and home made marmalade’s. I can’t fault anything at all. Everything is spotlessly clean and tidy. We felt very much at home and if we decide to visit East Sussex again we will definitely return to the Ocklynge Manor. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We have just returned from another stay with Wendy and David, the friendly and welcoming hosts at the beautiful and perfect Ocklynge Manor in Eastbourne. Since our last visit, Wendy has re-opened after the Covid lockdown and, although responding to the govenment's safety requirements, continues to offer a relaxing and comfortable stay. As always, the house is immaculate with attention to every possible detail. Wendy's delicious breakfast includes homemade preserves and fresh fruit salad. She also welcomed us, as before, with a pot of tea and freshly baked cake, served in the stunning garden. Wendy and David are perfect hosts and are always ready to give information and advice to help our stay. Thenk you again and hope to return very soon.

My 2 daughters (8 and 16) and I spent a lovely rainy weekend at Ocklynge in early October. In a word, it was charming. The feel of another century, beautifully decorated rooms, a beautiful garden and a labyrinthine old house very well kept up thanks to Dave's craftsmanship and Wendy's care. Not to mention the delicious English breakfast almost entirely homemade by Wendy! Dave & Wendy were very helpful in organising our trip, so welcoming, and happily waited for us despite delays in our late evening flight and so welcoming. They are both full of wonderful stories of the house and their families, and never tired of our endless questions. The location in Eastbourne is very convenient; it was quite easy to get around without a car. If ever in Eastbourne, you must stay here.
