Just returned from a 3 night hotel at this hotel which was amazing. Cannot find a single fault. The hotel has everything you need especially if walking is difficult it has a lift and walk in showers was just perfect for our needs. The hotel is run by the most considerate people who could not be more helpful always on hand from the moment you arrive. The breakfasts were lively beautifully cooked or a fruity healthy option. Will certainly stay again when visiting Llandudno as the hotel is perfect for our needs and absolutely spotless.

I booked Milverton House to take my parents (who are in their nineties) away for a few days. We chose it, as it had a room with a walk in shower (not a shower over a bath, as is often the case), plus a lift and a room with a bay window with sea views, which can be enjoyed from two armchairs.

The owners were extremely helpful and welcoming. They helped us with our luggage and carparking and recommended a suitable way for us to get to Conwy and the Great Orme.

The location is excellent - within easy walking distance of the pier, promenade, cafes/restaurants and shops (including a small Sainsbury's). The rooms were immaculately clean and nicely decorated, and my parents' shower was double size, with a grab handle for safety and ease of use.

The breakfasts were the best I have ever had in any grade of hotel, with fresh fruit and superbly cooked full English breakfasts - no fat, beautifully presented.

I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

A lovely comfortable hotel very central for the sea front, pier and shopping area. A warm welcome received at The Milverton. The twin room was very comfortable offering ensuite shower and complimentary toiletries. Full English breakfast was the way to start the day. Always served cooked fresh and piping hot. Look forward to our next visit.

On first arriving it was lovely.....was told the lift operated until 10.30pm...not so ....the owner clearly doesn't like smokers & we were on the 3rd floor but lift was switched off at around 8.30-9pm until the following day ! I said my husband had a bad hip & she said it's cost alot to operate ! No daily house keeping had to help yourself to tea coffe sachets etc but they were not available after tea time either......she didn't want to put the heating on as she was always warm another guest stated how are we supposed to dry the towels then ? No answer given basically !! Beautiful dinner ware for breakfast ( denby ) pity the breakfast wasn't that good.....our room was nice the bed very comfortable but the seaview aspect was push your face against the window you get a glimpse....won't be making a return visit ....we almost left after 2nd night but couldn't find another hotel for 1 night sadly so had to stay the full 3 nights.....to go up & down approx 90 stairs just wasn't good so if you have mobility issues please bear in mind the lift won't be in use in the evenings !!

Thank you for submitting this review, it is always a pleasure to reply when Guests have issues with their stay. I will respond to your comments as follows: Yes - The lift is normally in operation until 10.30pm at night, however we do ask that it is used only if necessary. By 'if necessary' we do not mean that when you and your husband retire to your room for the night {before 8pm) that it is ok to then use the lift every 20 minutes to go up and down for a cigarette ! and it was every 20 minutes until 11pm ! That's some serious smoking ! And yes it is expensive to run, and noisy and for us and the other Guests who have retired to their rooms. If you had read your confirmation email you would have known that there is no housekeeping of rooms, you would also know if you had listened when you checked in that you were told to help yourself to teas, coffees, milk etc for the day after you had breakfast. The heating comes on at 5pm every day and this was so for the whole of your stay, and the lady that commented about the towels actually said 'it is warm, we only use the the heating to dry the towels' ! Yes we think our Denby is lovely too ! Sorry you didn't enjoy your breakfast YOU ONLY HAS TOAST lol ......... how can you comment on our wonderful breakfasts when you didn't even try it ! {and you only managed to appear for breakfast twice!} Thank you for your lovely comments on the room and comfy bed we do pride ourselves on our Guests comfort. To be honest we wouldn't have minded if you had left on the 2nd night, in fact if you'd have said we would have found you another hotel! actually we were going to ask you to leave as other Guests were complaining about the strong odour of cigarettes in the lift and public areas after you had walked through, and having been into your room after you left perhaps we should have done ! thank goodness nobody was checking into the room today it STINKS of cigarettes. This is also why you were asked not to come into the breakfast room with the coats on that you had been smoking in 10 minutes previously, the other Guests complained of the smell which was off putting when they were eating their breakfasts. Anyway thank you for your comments, if we could also review Guests it would be fantastic ! - Towels were left filthy with make up {or something brown anyway} brown splashes of something all over bathroom floor, could be the same that was on towels maybe, as it was also on toilet. Drinks tray left with tea spilt all over it and broken biscuits all over the floor. Bin bags full of empty Strongbow bottles, Lager cans and bottles of wine! I could go on .................. and on ................ I can confirm that you will not be making a return visit !

Once again we stopped at the Milverton, which is well located near the pier and beach.
Still as good as before with excellent hosts (Linda & Gaynor) who provide clean well decorated rooms with a plentiful supply of tea and coffee, with more available at any time if needed. An excellent breakfast is supplied which was sufficient to keep us going throughout the day.
Would we stay again? Definitely as proved by us returning time and time again.
Thanks to Linda & Gaynor for another excellent stay

We again had a great three night stay at the Milverton,
Gaynor and Linda are perfect hosts with help and advice on Restaurant's, parking etc.
Breakfast was excellent and served piping hot.
We asked if we could watch the recent England football game in the lounge with our friends 'within our bubble' and this request was granted without a problem.
We stayed in a recently redecorated room which was very clean and we felt the whole property was very Covid safe with numerous sanitiser station and the need to wear masks in communal areas.
We hope to return in the future.

Having stayed at the milverton Llandudno last year and had a lovely stay,we rebooked for this year to celebrate my birthday. During our stay we were told we could not use the lift after 10:30pm due to the lift being noisy which they only told us about on our second day. This confused us as it was not a problem last year and one of the reasons we booked again as my husband has mobility issues. When we questioned this we were told it was also due to the rising costs of electricity. When I put it to the hosts that they should not be advertising lifts to all rooms without any restrictions,we were told to pack our things and leave immediately. They did give a refund of one nights stay but this was no compensation for the hurt and distruption caused to our break for my birthday. Would advise anybody with mobility issues or need of a lift to check on restrictions before booking. The hosts were very intimidating and made my husband feel embarrassed and humiliated for having to use the lift. In all my 64 years have never been treated this way and being told to leave a hotel.

Thankfully it is not very often we have to ask Guests to leave, but it does sometimes happen and it is unfortunate that this time it was you. And then of course they put on a Trip Advisor review, oh dear..... The Lift is a very expensive piece of equipment to run and maintain, it is also an important part of our Hotel and alot of people use it. We ask that anybody using the Lift also uses the hand sanitiser when entering the Lift, this is to reduce the possible spread of infections etc (coronavirus is still about!) neither of your adhered to this request on any occasion, leaving other people potentially at risk. The Lift was not turned off at 10.30pm, but there was a polite request to you on the following morning that consideration be given to other Guests in the Hotel and the Lift not be used at the very late hour you chose to return to the Hotel after your evening out, the Lift shaft is very close to some rooms and can cause disturbance when used continuously at very late hours. We had a couple of Guest comment on the late usage. The majority of Guests are considerate when returning to the property at late hours and use the stairs. When reminded after breakfast of the polite request not to use the lift in the early hours of the morning you were quite rude and said its there to be used so we used it! your whole attitude was aggressive and quite out of order, as you can see from our other reviews we do everything possible to help our Guests and often go above and beyond, we will not tolerate anyone being disrespectful, whether it is to other Guests or to ourselves. You commented that you felt you didn't want to stay at the hotel again, and that you were made to feel like children being told off, and felt like leaving, so we suggested that it was best you left a day early, we even refunded the night you had left and wished you a safe journey home. For future reference if you stay in a property that has a lift and you are both unable to use the stairs due to mobility issues I suggest you ask for a ground floor room, this would also assist you if the lift ever was unavailable due to maintenance or breakdown. Thank goodness ours is well maintained! One consolation I suppose is that nobody will be woken up tonight by anybody coming in after midnight and using the lift and making a noise while returning to their room ! I hope you enjoy future visits to Llandudno and all North Wales has to offer. I am sure there will be a hotel somewhere that can accommodate your needs.

It's quite difficult to park because its mainly street parking we drove around a few times before getting a space. At this busy time of year you may need to park up the road in a car park but if you can't find a space people were pulling up outside to drop their bags off where Linda will give you the best advise on the day as she's really helpful.
