Nestled in a prime location, Llandudno Bay Hotel captures the hearts of guests with its stylish ambiance and stunning sea views. While some guests find the rooms on the small side, the cleanliness and thoughtful in-room touches do not go unnoticed.
The staff's friendly and efficient service consistently receives high marks, adding to the hotel's charm. Although room pricing has been a point of contention for a few, the overall value is appreciated, especially given the hotel's proximity to local attractions and its range of praised amenities.

My sister and I stayed here last January and the weekend just gone and both times have been excellent. We see a Welsh band at Venue Cymru each year so this is a great location - venue about 5 minutes away.
The rooms are lovely, extremely clean and equipped with what you need (great hairdryer too!
We were originally in room 308 (top floor) where (as with all hotels in Llandudno) the water pressure for the shower was an issue at peak times. However, when we expressed this issue we were offered another room on a lower floor and had no further issue. I can't complain about this as it is outside of their control and we have had this issue at three other hotels in Llandudno so it is not isolated to them.
Bar stayed open late on our last night (Saturday 1st Feb) and the Merlot and Malbec were gorgeous.
I didn't get to breakfast this year (overslept both days) but if previous years are to go by, well worth the money.
It is a shame this hotel is in administration along with others in the group, because I think it is a hidden gem, and the staff went over and above, were so friendly considering they don't know if there is someone to take over, must be so hard for job security. But standards were still excellent.
Unfortunately the band isn't playing Llandudno next year, but if they were I would definately book here again.
I would like to say I am not affiliated with the hotel but have worked in service and credit is due to the staff.

We had been given a "two night in a luxury stay in a Garden View Room at Caer Rhun Hall" for Christmas . Having tried to book we found out that the company had gone into administration! After several phone calls we called at the Llandudno Bay Hotel, the sister Hotel and quickly booked a room. There is no comparison to the facilities that we should have had. This hotel is situated on the front. Our bedroom was small. The bathroom was clean and fairly new. The furniture was tired. The room was charged at £280 for 2 nights for bed and breakfast which was not good value but we were grateful to get some compensation for our Luxury gift
Sam was helpful on reception and our room type was called Deluxe Double, which was average, not delux.
We have been to the Bay Hotel before and were pleased to see the dinning area had been separated off from the main bar area, great improvement.
The "like for Like" was not good value for money. We noted that often there are deals related to this particular hotel, two weeks later the hotel advertises 2 nights Feb 14th at £95 in a UKbreakaway leaflet for Dinner, bed and Breakfast! Tel nos 0344 6820060
I am not sure that this is truly honouring all pre- paid reservations as informed in correspondence from the hotel.
Overpriced

I was emailed and offered a room upgrade through a auction system; I bid £10 and was advised I had won a room upgrade. Wahahahaha ... if this was your upgrade I would hate to have seen my original room.
The beds were smaller than singles (photo below) and there was no room to turn in them other than to do a "pancake flip". The shower room was the smallest I have ever seen and the gap to get into the shower was about 1 hand width (photo below). The room was in the roof section and as such had limited space due to the eaves that went through the one corner (photo below).
On checking out I advised the front desk that I had not been happy and she just shrugged it off with an "Oh".
I would NOT recommend this hotel which I saw on check-out is now under administration and I will NEVER stay there again.
Terrible experience!

Just come back from a nights stay with my husband for valentines night. The rating I give is for the room we were allocated. As soon as we opened the door you had four steps down to our room which I thought was a bit dangerous. The shower was so small, as me and my husband are of a slim build we could just about get in the shower, with no room to bend down to pick soap or shampoo up as there weren’t any soap dish to put them on. The water was tepid all the hot water had been used and it was only tea time. The toilet was like a saniflo which was very noisy. I did try to change room when I checked in but the hotel was full with a wedding party. I phoned down to tell receptionist about the water, she said she would tell the porter. I never received any update or curtesy call so took a very cool shower. The room we were in was 120. The only thing that was good with stay was the breakfast which was good quality produce, it just needed to be a bit hotter and served on warm plates.

So we booked the valentines meal £30.00 each booked for 8pm. We live local also so did not make a special trip to Llandudno.
The hotel presentation was modern and nice. However it was not that busy and their was two waiter/bar staff on running around like idiots.
We went for the set menu for the valentines offer as it looked good.
The offer was cocktail on arrival! which we never got😕
We was shown our table left for 10 minutes given the special menu asked what we wanted to eat we told the waitress who was also looking after the bar. Before we could order any drinks she was gone. We sat their for 25 minutes without a drink. Waitress was abrupt she then came across and asked us what drinks we wanted so we ordered them to wait another 15 minutes because she was sorting a problem out with another customers meal. That went back to kitchen! Mean while our sharing starter came out dumped on table and she was gone in a flash. Waited about five minutes and still no plates so we just eaten off the share block. We did ask for plates from the other male waiter but none arrived so we cracked on. As we was near the kitchen door you could hear the waitress quite clear shouting and ranting at the chefs/cooks felt like being in faulty towers! The main sharing came out after they took the starter block away. Which was fillet of beef, triple chunky chips & onion rings. This was not for sharing it was for one person. We then had share deserts which was o.k apart from the moose being rock hard and not eatable. They was a singer on who complimented the evening in fact she was very good. We was also asked if we was local don’t seem to know why because we was paying the same but felt like other guest who was tourist were treated better.
Service 10/100
Food 68/100
Hotel decor 100/100
Singer 90/100
Total bill £88.50
Would Not Return 😐

Just spent a lovely evening at this hotel. As we walked in the front door, I smiled, lovely entrance to the reception and a very warm welcome.
Found our way to our room and opened the door!
As it was courtesy of a groupon voucher we didn’t know what to expect but WOW the bedroom was beautifully decorated and we were delighted to find a sea view! Room 106
We just spent the afternoon sitting looking out the bay window, talking and chilling, watching it go darker and the view just got better and better.
We had booked a meal for later and decided both on Their fish and chips. The fish in batter was one of the best we have tasted and the chips were amazing.
We had a cheesecake and creme brûlée to finish which we’re very nice.
Breakfast the next morning was lovely ( both decided the crispy hash browns were probably some of the best we had ever tasted )
One thing I was a bit disappointed in was the bed wasn’t the comfiest we’ve ever slept in. But wouldn't stop us from booking this room again.
The service from arriving at reception to restaurant evening and morning was brilliant, all very friendly and a special mention to Bev on reception in the morning. So friendly and thank you for the recommendation for a stop off for coffee on our way home.

Although we could not fault the cleanliness and friendliness of this hotel we stayed in a room too small for purpose.
We had no cupboards, drawers or surface area to put things. When we asked to change rooms we were told there were no other sea view rooms available, so we had to stay where we were.

The room was very poor. 4 steps down immediately the door was opened then the floor sloped down towards the bed. There was a toilet on one side of the hall and a miniscule shower cubicle on the other with nowhere to hold shower gel or soap. The toilet had a separate pump which was extremely noisy and the flush mechanism was faulty. The food was well below average and there was a choice of just 2 white wines ,one Rose and a red wine. No wine list in 4 Star hotel? Ridiculous.
I think we got given a crap room because the price we were quoted was not what they wanted to charge us. I have stayed in MANY 4 star hotels all over the world and this ranks as the worst.

Did a one night stay courtesy of a gift from a family member. Parking was free outside the hotel but l suspect could be limited in season as a pay to park zone is nearby going into the town centre.
Our room was at the front of the hotel with a great view over the sea and distant pier which looked lovely lit up at night.
Chairs by the window with a small table were a great spot for relaxing and there was even a small telescope for distant viewing.
The bed was large and comfortable although some may think it too high. Personally it was great. The bathroom contained an overbath shower with soap and shower dispensers on the wall as well as by the sink.
I have seen some comments saying the bathroom was small but l found it to be more than adequate.
We ate in the restaurant in the hotel for the evening meal and had breakfast in the same place next morning. The service was excellent both for the food and nearby bar area with very friendly service which continued with all the staff in the hotel.
A big plus point was fir me that all the food was hot on service not lukewarm as l have experienced elsewhere on some occasions before.
I found the menu for both drinks and food reasonably priced with, as l said, excellent service.
Venue Cymru is a short walk away and this hotel would be a great base if you have plans to go there. It is close to the nearby shopping park should you be inclined with Llandudno centre nearby.
Despite being on the front with the road along the front outside there was no evidence of traffic noise. A very enjoyable stay.
