With Premier Inns in the UK you always know what your room will be like and this one at the Little Orme was no different.  Below are a few considerations that may help you decide whether to book your stay here.

1. This is an out of town location so you will need to use a taxi / car to go for a meal or drink. Unless that is, you are happy to dine at the on site Brewer's Fayre.

2. There are no ground floor bedrooms or lift, so anyone with mobility issues should speak to the hotel first.

3. There is plenty of free, off road parking outside the hotel.

4. They do offer free WiFi, but we found it poor and gave up trying to make WhatsApp calls.

5. A good location for travelling around the area.

6. There are no in room safe deposit boxes.

7. A very helpful team on the 24 hour reception desk.

8. Book early if you can. Our stay in March was booked months in advance and was a lot cheaper than it would have been if we had left booking until a few days before.

In summary, somewhere we would stay again.

We stayed at this Premier Inn for a long weekend in February, as we were visiting the area and had a trip planned to Chester Zoo. Arrived on Friday afternoon and the check-in process was easy as ever, we were given room 10, which was situated at the back of the hotel. There are only 21 rooms, just the accessible room (1) is located on the ground floor and the rest are upstairs.

The room itself was clean and the usual Premier Inn standard, with a bath/shower combination. Throughout our whole stay, we didn’t hear any excessive noise and slept excellently.

There is a restaurant attached to the hotel, where we eat on our first night (as the weather was so bad), the food itself was good quality and a wide selection of drinks is available. I’d agree with other comments, that some of the decor is looking a bit tired now and could do with a refresh. Staffing also seemed to be an issue, sometimes there were long waits for food and drink, but not sure if this was due to shortages during our visit.

Driving into Llandudno takes just over 5 minutes and I imagine in nicer weather, is walkable from the hotel but we didn’t brave it! A taxi cost us £7 to the Wetherspoons in the town centre, there’s also a bus route which runs past the hotel.

Overall I’d recommend this Premier Inn, due to its size we rarely saw other guests and was clearly throughout our visit.

We had a lovely stay 11th -13th Sept. Lovely views over the little Orme. Rooms very clean and quiet. Very Impressed to see the quilts were removed from vacant rooms as well as being cleaned for the next guests. The staff was very helpful and eager to make our stay very pleasant. There are 5 disabled parking spaces outside the hotel and CCTV attached to the outside hotel. Looking forward to being able to stay again

The position of the hotel is excellent. The staff were helpful. I was travelling alone to attend a family funeral. I use Premier Inns about 5 times a year.
Downsides for me at this location
No walk-in shower, no lift.
Bath area had no grab rails on wall.

Welcoming note on desk in room asks you to call reception if any problem stating their landline number. Ironic ,since no mobile reception inside hotel and intermittent/poor reception at far end of carpark using phones from several providers
.
I know Premier Inns do not have phones in rooms as a policy. But I feel that if there was an accident/emergency in room, there is no way to contact reception in this particular hotel. In the light of recent events (eg Grenfell) many local authorities and responsible organisations are reviewing their policies and adjusting their practices. Maybe Premier Inn should reconsider their policy re phones in rooms in certain locations.

We stayed here for a few days at the beginning of the summer holidays as a base to do other activities. The location was perfect, easy to find and not too close to the town so it wasn't busy or noisy. Before arrival I was sent an email with all the information about checking in and how the hotels cleaning policy would work due to covid restrictions still being in place. Upon arrival, our room was ready for us and the staff on the reception was so helpful, explaining how everything would work, where our room was and if we needed anything (extra hot drink supplies, towels, toilet paper etc) then just pop down and they were more than happy to help. Due to restrictions they didn't clean the room during our stay which we were fine with as it wasn't dirty and it was mainly just a base to keep our things and somewhere to sleep. Our restaurant reservations were confirmed upon check in to make sure they were correct for breakfast each day. During the stay, any staff we met were so welcoming and pleasant, it was like home. As for breakfast, we ate in the restaurant every morning and was looked after by a guy called Gary and he was amazing, our food was always correct, he was so helpful and happy and he didn't rush us even when my 9 year old wanted to order for herself (picky eater). Overall, our stay was perfect and will definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.

My husband and myself visited this Hotel for our New Year Break arriving 31st December for 3 nights. Our first impression of the hotel was that it was MUCH further from Llandudno town Centre than we expected. It also looked like an old building though we got a very warm welcome from the friendly lady on reception who was pleased to tell us that we had been allocated a top floor room as we had requested, with a sea view. When we entered the room (19) we were dismayed to see 2 single beds made up as well as the king sized bed, which was strange as there was only the two of us! This meant that there was very little room to walk about and the room was very dark and gloomy with just one small window. The sea view could only be seen by leaning out of the window and looking to the far left, our main view was the rock face of the Little Orme!
We stripped one of the single beds and converted it into a sofa so that we had somewhere to sit. We also noticed that the room, although lovely and clean, was rather “tired” with some stains on the carpet and trim missing on the wardrobe unit and dressing table. The bathroom was also very clean though we noticed that the shower water temperature fluctuated from hot to cool. We had a lovely break in Llandudno, and all the staff at the Premier Inn and the adjacent Brewers Fayre were very friendly and helpful and our room was cleaned and tidied very efficiently every day. We have stayed at many Premier Inns and they are our favourite hotel chain but this one is I think is overdue for renovation to bring it up to Premier Inn’s usual very high standard.

Our third stay at this Premier Inn. Obviously things were a little different this time with all the Covid-19 restrictions but as usual the staff were really friendly and helpful. They are no longer servicing the rooms during your stay but anything you need you just have to ask for and they will provide it. Hand sanitiser as you go in and screens around reception made it feel safe. Will definitely stay again next time we are in Llandudno.

We stayed as a couple in September and we were made to feel very welcome. Our room was spacious and spotless, although it suffered from continuous noise from the aircon units outside when the windows were open (our room was located at the back of the hotel). We knew there would be some noise as we had stayed in a rear room before, but as we only stayed there for one night this time we didn't ask for a front facing room. Rooms at the front of the hotel are very quiet and some have seaviews so they are better for stays of more than one night if you want a good night's sleep.
Meals were good in restaurant next door and again we were made to feel very welcome.
We will definitely return next year.

An overnight stay for a visit to Rhos on Sea, this Premier Inn was very convenient for Rhos, Colwyn Bay and Llandudno. I loved the view of the Little Orme from the bedroom. It was a quiet room even though we were on the front. My companion said the main bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and the TV and Wifi worked very easily. The cooked breakfast was super. The buffet was fine but the toaster was a bit slow and it didn't heat the crumpets but these are small things.

I believe they only have 1 or 2 rooms on the ground floor. You could try ringing them directly on 01492 542950. I hope that's of help.
