From the moment Fiona opened the door to greet us I just knew it was going to be amazing and it was you must stay here every corner of every room has something interesting to look at or read, such a comfortable place, both Ray and Fiona were perfect hosts. You really have to experience it for yourself and I... More

We stayed one night in the Telegraph Room and one night in the Lamp Room - different feel but both extremely lovely and cosy rooms, both with great views. The whole building is steeped in atmosphere with great little historical touches, and the Lamp Room is the crowning jewel. Fiona and Ray were lovely hosts and were very accommodating to... More

. . . The Lighthouse definitely fits the bill. My mother and I spent two nights in the Principal Keeper's Suite, one of The Lighthouse's three rooms and the only one that offers twin accommodation. The four-poster bed was a treat and the adjoining sitting room created a roomy and comfortable space. The view is amazing, although best in the... More

Our stay here was a surprise birthday treat from my partner. What an amazing treat it was! This place is awesome. We were met at the door by Ray the owner who showed us around and explained the history of the place. Ray and his lovely wife Fiona could not do enough for us and we were made to feel... More

Views amazing, even from the bed! Very warm welcome and a fabulous breakfast. Coffe and cake very welcome as I arrived. Great walks from the door along the coast... More

We had a great time with the best views ever, the host was very welcoming and makes an amazing breakfast (big also) The only slight negatives were :the lamp room sitting area was a little hot when the sun was out ( basically a greenhouse ) and you got a slight damp smell every now and again , expected in... We stayed in the Telegraph Room, which was wonderful. It has a 280 degree sea view with the original wooden window shutters. The ensuite room as a double bed and beautiful old walnut furniture, with some nice added extras such as chocolates and nice toiletries. There is a separate sitting area with an original fireplace and cosy seating and lighting.... More

Having passed The Lighthouse so many times without checking it out, I did some online research & decided that it was a good option for a birthday treat. Boy, was I right. Greeted by Ray, shown around the garden & given a potted history of the lighthouse & coast line. Shown in to our room, The Lamp Room, & served... More
