We stayed during the worst storm ever in the lamp room- stormy windy driving rain Yet the warmth from the hosts burned like a shining beacon- nothing was too much trouble - authentic atmospheric cosy and perfect loved every quirky second and don't think it can ever be beaten. Amazing

I actually adore this place. If you're looking for something quirky, unusual and a step back in time this is the place! I stayed in the telegraph room and it's just wonderful. Incredible original features and wonderful 270 degree windows. This room also has access to the roof which is stunning, uninterrupted sea views and not a building in sight....

We stayed one night in the Telegraph Room and one night in the Lamp Room - different feel but both extremely lovely and cosy rooms, both with great views. The whole building is steeped in atmosphere with great little historical touches, and the Lamp Room is the crowning jewel. Fiona and Ray were lovely hosts and were very accommodating to...

. . . The Lighthouse definitely fits the bill. My mother and I spent two nights in the Principal Keeper's Suite, one of The Lighthouse's three rooms and the only one that offers twin accommodation. The four-poster bed was a treat and the adjoining sitting room created a roomy and comfortable space. The view is amazing, although best in the...

We were met at the door by Ray the owner who showed us around and explained the history of the place. Ray and his lovely wife Fiona could not do enough for us and we were made to feel...

We had a great time with the best views ever, the host was very welcoming and makes an amazing breakfast (big also) The only slight negatives were :the lamp room sitting area was a little hot when the sun was out ( basically a greenhouse ) and you got a slight damp smell every now and again , expected in...

We stayed in the Telegraph Room, which was wonderful. It has a 280 degree sea view with the original wooden window shutters. The ensuite room as a double bed and beautiful old walnut furniture, with some nice added extras such as chocolates and nice toiletries. There is a separate sitting area with an original fireplace and cosy seating and lighting....
