I spent a weekend in this hotel as part of a Shearings coach trip. I was surprised that we had not been advised in advance that there had been cases of the norovirus in the hotel. I don't think I would have travelled otherwise. I'm not sure if the fault here is with the hotel or Shearings. On the whole...

Had a short break with national holidays to this hotel. Was pleasantly surprised by the excellent staff and newly decorated room we stayed in. Unfortunately the walls and ceiling had been painted over peeling wallpaper and come next year it will probably look quite tatty again. The room was clean but let down by a thick coating of dust on...

I have just arrived home from The marine hotel, Llandudno. We stayed in room 320, which had a lovely sea view. The room was very comfortable with modern furniture, and a nice seating area by the window. The room was spotless and we had room service everyday . The food during our stay was delicious with generous portions. Our waitress...

This was our 3rd visit to the Bay Marine Hotel and it was great, the staff throughout the hotel were all pleasant, polite and very helpful. The food was good and we had plenty to eat. Although our room was nicely decorated, cleaning did need to be looked at,dust on flat surfaces in bathroom. We were not informed that the hotel had had an outbreak of Noro Virus, until in room where there was a printout,as we booked and traveled with Shearings I feel we should have known and been given the chance to cancel..but then that wouldn't...

My wife and I travelled in our own Car and arrived on Monday 14th November to find the Hotel had been closed for the weekend prior for a deep clean after an outbreak of Novovirus. No advance information had been given. We decided to stay but unfortunately I became ill on the Wednesday and had to abandon the hotel and...

We have just returned from a Turkey and Tinsel 5 day break at this Hotel. First, the good news. The scaffolding has been removed. Good, warm, comfortable room, recently decorated but the shower unit could do with a 'bleach' spray to get rid of the mould. The dining room was good, the food usual Shearing's fare, with excellent staff who...

Hi TedBetty thank you for your post. I appreciate all the positive comments you made and thank you for praising all the staff when we were dealing with the noro virus. It is a terribly contagious virus and with guests not telling us they were ill until it was too late made everything so much worse. We did our best...

This holiday was a coach trip. The hotel was OK. The food was good and the staff very helpful. The decor could do with upgrading and the heating was insufficient ( it was a cold weekend). Overall it was good value for the very reasonable price we paid.

The hotel is well located on the sea front close to the main center. However, it is tired and in need of TLC (which I believe is ongoing).but this condition was reflected in a reasonably priced room. We stayed half board, the evening meal was good but portion sizes limited. the breakfast was excellent, presented in a self service buffet...
