Can’t fault this guest house. Had room 5 this week (Aug 2020). Covid 19 changes seem logical, sensible and well implemented. Lovely (soft) comfortable bed and ‘soak & sleep’ pillows (Which ‘Which!’ Rate as the best). Fresh modern decor. Lovely and clean. Nice fluffy towels. Shower is electric so not very powerful but effective and hot water on tap. Looks like the room has been fairly recently updated; nice carpet and furniture. Plentiful selection of teas and coffees. It was quite warm this week and we requested a fan, which fortunately one was available. Not much of a view but that wasn’t an issue. Only minor niggle is there is limited space for hanging clothes. Room cost £88/night and this was good value. Dining room closed due to Covid restrictions so breakfast ordered each day ahead, served in cardboard containers with disposable cutlery. Delivered to your door each morning in a brown paper bag, so enjoyed breakfast in bed several days.
The solution worked very well and the quality of food was excellent. Plenty of choice. Brilliant poached eggs. Lovely grilled bacon and nice sausage. This was an excellent breakfast. Initially no option to request toast, but we did request some via a note on the booking sheet and we did receive toast. Parking is limited to 2 spaces on the drive, but on-road parking close by shouldn’t be an issue.
All in all, an excellent B&B. Good value. Would stay again.
Note to travellers, you MUST book restaurants and attractions ahead of time. Many restaurants were fully booked 2 or more days ahead, so check Tripadviser before departing for options and book ahead. I’d recommend ‘Tops’ for Chinese. ‘The Albert’ is a gastro pub very close by the B&B with real-ales and food. Couldn’t get a table for food but good beer and nice pub.

My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights and honestly upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised, I’m a bit of a clean freak and I can honestly say the room was so clean and tidy with everything to hand. They change the towels and clean the room whenever you like, they provide snacks and drinks which are available all day everyday, with no extra cost. The muffins are delicious and the selection of herbal teas were lovely! with covid, the owner really adapted well and he was so welcoming, friendly and available. Overall, I definitely recommend and will be definitely rebooking if I revisit north Wales.

We found Bodnant Guest House via an internet search. It was appealing to us and was probably chosen from others because of its location being close to the station ( we were travelling by train) and was also close to all of Llandudno's ameanities, attractions, promenade and beach.
Bodnant guest house proved to be an excellent choice. The room and whole house was lovely and presented immaculately with simple little touches that show the owner and his partner have an eye for attention to detail and were prepared to make our stay very comfortable and memorable. The house is in a quiet part of the town populated by similar properties of which Llandudo is justifiably proud.

I always aim to write a fair review and highlight the positives and areas that need consideration for improvement. Covid-19 definitely impacted on the spoilt breakfast experience as not enough room to social distance therefore breakfast delivered to room at 8:30, no choice of time as you're told that's when it will be left outside your bedroom. 8:30 far too early, especially when guests can't check into the hotel until after 4pm and 2 hours before you have to vacate at 10:30. The positives were that the breakfast was hot, but no option to select toast on the form so the first morning we didn't get any so I asked for it on the form for the second morning. The bedroom was spotlessly clean, nice decor and liked that you got complimentary water and chocolates. Bedroom 4 has a tiny shower, my partner isn't large but he just about fitted in it. The hotel is situated about 5 minutes away from the station. It cost £95 per night. I personally think it would have been worth paying an extra £10 and stay in the promenade in a hotel that had more facilities. Its hard to comment on the proprietors as apart from saying hello and goodbye, we didn't get to see or speak to them. I'm not sure why it's a 4star Hotel? There's nothing wrong with the hotel but nothing amazing either hence a very fair three stars.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We're sorry that you seem to have had an issue with the way that we are operating at the moment due to Covid-19 but for us it is important to make sure that the environment is as safe as possible for our customers and ourselves - something which seems to have been appreciated from the feedback from most of our guests. We did email you as soon as you had booked explaining about breakfast and other measures that we were taking including sticking to a check in time of 4pm to allow us time to clean to an appropriate standard. We would have been more than happy to cancel your booking free of charge if you felt that this wasn't suitable for you. We are not, and do not aim to be a hotel but a small, family run B&B. This means that we don't employ any staff other than ourselves and therefore, at the moment, we are unable to be as flexible about check-in time as we would normally try to be. If you had spoken to us in person about your issues when we asked you if everything had been alright with your stay on departure, we would have been able to explain in person why we had taken the decisions that we had. In terms of the price, if you had looked at trip advisor before you booked, you would have seen that to get the best price you should have booked direct which would have been significantly less than what you paid booking through an online travel agent.

Great place to stay. Edward and Bridget are lovely, they couldn’t be more helpful and accommodating. The bedrooms are very comfortable - tastefully decorated, exceptionally clean, beds comfortable, delicious breakfast with plenty of choice, everything needed is provided, including little snacks left around the house, access to a fridge with fresh milk always available. Ideally situated within walking distance for the main shopping areas, beaches, pier, Great Orme and train station, with parking on site.

My visit was a last minute booking and I wasn't disappointed. Beautiful Bodnant Guest House, is situated in a quiet residential area about 10 minutes walk to the promenade and exceeded my expectations!

On arrival I was greeted by our host Edward who showed me the dining room where breakfast is served. I was then shown to my room. I should add one thing that struck me upon entering the guest house is that it is spotlessly clean, very well decorated and I loved the period tiles in the hallway.

As expected, when I entered my single bedroom it was light and airy, situated at the top of the house and at the front. There was plenty of room, from hanging my clothes, to a tv, comfy chair, tea/coffee making and a sink. I had a separate big bathroom with bath, toilet and sink just on the landing which wasn't a problem to me as it was for my personal use only, and quality toiletries were provided along with beautiful white towels.

I tend to have a full English breakfast when I'm away, and I couldn't fault the breakfasts that Edward prepared fresh each morning, they were delicious and kept me going till lunchtime.

Edward was a fantastic host, and went out of his way to ensure my stay was enjoyable, and he even gave me a map to make it easier for me to find my way around! However, I did take the sight-seeing bus to get more familiar with the area, the commentary was excellent and saved my feet!

I would have no hesitation in recommending Bodnant Guest House. I hope to visit again as soon as I am able. My thanks and best wishes to Edward and Bridget, take care xx

Still consistently good despite new owners since our last visit. Edward is very obliging and helpful, always asking customers if they are happy with everything.

Our king size bedroom was very comfortable with walk-in shower which was useful to us and was front facing. The breakfast was plentiful and well cooked, quality food was always used. Maybe they need to offer poached eggs as an option which is not on the menu.

There’s good off-road parking for 3/4 cars but plenty of street parking once local workers have gone home.

Hotel is located in a nice and peaceful area, yet very close to the shops on Mostyn St and plenty of restaurants within 10-15 minutes walk. The rail station is only five minutes walk for those without private transport, it’s far enough away that you don’t hear trains.

All in all, another enjoyable stay to which we would return to Bodnant GH again.

The property is in close proximity to all amenities while remaining lovely and quiet for a great nights sleep. The room was very comfortable and the bed and bedding, including pillows were of a high quality. The room and en suite were immaculate. The host was so incredibly friendly and sincere and really couldn’t do enough and was very attentive. There were complimentary snacks and toiletries and the breakfast was delicious. I really enjoyed my stay and was sorry to leave. I would definitely use this home from home again.

we booked this bed and breakfast at short notice for a couple of days away and was pleasantly surprised on arrival to find the owner had opened just for us. The room was clean and comfortable and had all we needed including a more than above average hospitality tray. there we also bowls with snacks, and drinks in the fridge, available in the dining room should we have wished to help ourselves. Nothing was to much for Edward as our host and he obviously cares about the experience that his guests get. Breakfast was pleasant enough, freshly cooked, but choice was limited but this was understandable.
the hotel was quite enough and only just a short walk from the attractions of Llandudno and car parking either on the drive or in the road was easy enough.
