The hotel is old and needs work the wallpaper was peeling off in some parts there where weeds and grass growing on my balcony. I could not sleep due to people walking past my room as the floorboards creaked so much all night. The music from the entertainment was so loud I could not hear the TV. It was so bad had to go and buy earplugs the next day.The curtains didn't close. However the food and waiter service was excellent and the murder mystery night was fantastic.
Stayed here for murder mystery weekend. Hotel was clean and welcoming, check-in easy and could order evening meal at same time. Found the room after several attempts, but large and spacious with bathroom with bath and shower. Plenty of beverages for use, if wanted more reception is the place to ask. Good service in dining room and excellent service from friendly staff. Good very appetising and varied and plentiful. Entertainment was singer, but enjoyed the Murder Mystery immensely. Everyone staying was part of the mystery🤗 Two for one bar also good Thanks to all
My stay at the Loretta for a murder mystery weekend was brilliant. I fore-warned the hotel I was vegan and they went out of their way to offer a vegan menu on arrival, and fresh veg. at dinner and a choice of vegan mains. Staff were so friendly and keen to make my stay great. Okay the hotel is a little tired, but they put themselves out for you and are very reasonably priced for freshly cooked meals and reasonable bar prices. I also had a swim at the sister hotel whilst there, and apart from the murder mystery event, extra entertainment was offered on both nights. Well done to the hotel and I will be happy to return. Many thanks.
Stayed at this hotel last last week on a 4 night National Holidays trip. The entrance porch was full of laundry and the hygiene rating on the door was only a 3 .So was a bit worried about being there. The check in was fast but we then had to pick our evening meal so no buffet which we prefer. Our room was good ,it faced the main road and was clean with newish furniture and was warm. The bathroom was vary small but tidy.In the dining room we were placed at a table with 2 other people and stayed at that table for the whole trip. The evening meals were not very nice dry fish frozen chips roast pork that seemed like shop bought slices covered with hot gravy. However breakfast was better but the bacon could have been cooked better it was almost raw. The lounge area was painted yellowy cream and had no pictures or ornaments so feel like sitting in a railway waiting room. There was a different singer on 3 evening just ok.The position of the hotel was good just off the prom very near bars and shops. The hotel is not that clean and in our corridor wallpaper was hanging off and walking on the floor felt like being on a see saw.The whole hotel needs an upgrade ,Llandudno is a lovely place and if we return we will NOT stay at the New Loretta Hotel. Not sure why Nat Holidays stay there .The hygiene rating speaks for its self a 3 is not good enough for a hotel
Stayed with National Holidays on a 3 day weekend break Friday to Sunday. 2 nights dinner, bed & breakfast. National no longer visit Chester on the route home. Some National coaches leave between 10am to 11am on the day of departure to go straight home with only service station stops around 2pm - which is a shame because you are home mid afternoon. On the day of departure you must vacate your room by 10am & leave your cases in front of reception near the entrance door.
Check in - smooth and efficient. Friendly gentleman on reception. You are asked to choose your evening meal main choice on arrival. Three main course choices to choose from. There are lifts to floors - although you may have to negotiate About 6 steps along corridors when you arrive on your floor.
We had a lovely room on the front - new furniture, decor good, comfortable bed. Clean room. Kettle, tea & coffee & hairdryer. Shower cubicle in bathroom. Room serviced and made up, clean towels for both nights. Nice complimentary soap on towels for each guest. The rooms are modern key cards.
2 for 1 bar is between 6 & 9pm & the drinks are a reasonable price. There was enough seats for two coaches & extra guests. There was entertainment on both nights. Friday was a gentleman who sang hits from 1950’s to 1990’s. On Saturday there was a gentleman who sang show tunes and a songs from 1950’s to 1990’s.
Meals: Three 3 course meal with tea or coffee. Jug of water on the table. Breakfast juice, tinned fruit, cereal, fried breakfast, toast & jams with tea or coffee. It was all table service. The food was excellent.
Excellent Location - near the town centre & seafront both a short walking distance.
The hotel is an old Victorian terrace which has character. Corridors could do with some new wallpaper. I’d stay here again.
