The hotel room felt like a prison cell, the air con didn’t work and when we complained they did nothing, tv broke multiple times and the toilet smelled like sewage water, do not recommend to anyone. To add, the vending machine didn’t give the right things.

If you want five star luxury then stay elsewhere- this is absolutely fine if like me you just want somewhere to crash. I stayed for one night as I was watching something at the Regent Theatre. Location is brilliant- I got the bus from the train station and it stops literally just around the corner. I ate at the Botanist which is amazing and about five minutes walk, along with the shops. The Regent Theatre was also only a few minutes walk. I stayed in the accessible room as I’m on crutches and it was fine. Nice and spacious, very clean and airy. Lovely view from the window. Only gripe is lack of storage- I was only there for one night so the two fixed hangers were fine to hang my two outfits on but if there was two people it would be a bit of a squeeze. Also not a fan of having to store my makeup bag on the toilet cistern! I was expecting a hard bed but it was okay for me. I was on my own so had both pillows to myself but if there’s two of you and you need more than one pillow maybe bring your own. Staff were great- I accidentally left my bag at reception when I checked in and the receptionist was helpful in reuniting me with it. The hotel worked for me as I was only in it for a few hours including sleeping as I had to leave very early to catch the train to London. If you literally just want somewhere to get your head down, it’s a great budget option. I had booked the Premier Inn originally but I paid half the price of the Premier Inn to stay at the EasyHotel and didn’t regret it. …

The hotel is exactly how it’s described . No frills . No tea coffee facilities in rooms but tyere is a vending machine in lobby It’s basically bed and shower . Don’t book room with no window as it like being in a box Hotel was spotless but when I went there was a few unsavoury residents . Also on website it states car park is 30 second walk away which it is but it’s not an ncp car park it’s actually a euro car park Which was a bit of a pain as we were driving round in circles looking for the car park that hotel stated . I feel this should be changed to save confusion Don’t think I would stay in another easy hotel but if you just need a drop and stop it’s fine

Not a bad hotel. It's very cosy with the rooms being very small and basic. But when you're only there to sleep it works a treat. Couldn't hear a thing from any other room even when it was fully booked. Shower, sink and toilet worked perfectly. The bed was very firm and I would've preferred a second pillow. I stayed in a room with a window and had nice views of a church. I wish there were sockets on both sides of the bed though. I'll definitely stay again, but this is definitely a hotel for short no-frills stays

Place is clean and has all you need without the frills as long as you just need a room and a bed this is fine. Close to center although parking is a bit of a pain. Does exactly what it says in the tin. Room cleaning fee is a bit strange as I didn’t get my room cleaned but still paid it as you don’t have the option to opt out

Me and my girlfriend got stranded in Ipswich after she collapsed while doing promotional work. I came up with the bare minimum and had no ID so phoned ahead to see if it would be a problem. I spoke to a guy, extremely friendly and understanding saying he would accept a picture of my passport and driving licence as both had a photo on. Checked in no trouble made to feel welcome, good room clean for the price no problems at all had a great stay and came back the next day for a completely different experience.. The second night the manager checked me in Who made me feel absolutely sh$t as I didnt have ID I said I'd checked in yesterday and she kept telling me I'd got him in trouble and thank you for telling her. The guy done an amazing job the night before and she was shocking. I kept apologising wtf as I felt bad for getting him in trouble. Funny thing is after speaking to two ladies I met that night they had checked in with her with no ID ? I went down to confeont her and she was rude and just ignored me. I have all conversations recorded. I needed to book another room the following night but went elsewhere. The guy checking me in was amazing the woman shocking, ill never go back and will spread this story anyway I can I was treated appallingly!…

Conned me into paying for a room by telling me it would be ok to use a photo of my i.d (as i no longer have it) so after they confirmed this i booked the room to then be told the day after that no they can't accept that. If i hadn't of been told it would be ok to use a photo of my i.d i would never have booked it. Non refundable hence why i called to check before i booked it.

On arrival we were checked in by a pleasant member of staff, who gave us directions to our room, on entering the room we were somewhat taken aback with it's size and layout, we booked a double room with a window, yes there was a small double bed, there was about 6 inches of space between the bottom of the bed and the wall, one side was pressed up against the window, and there was about 4 inches of space on the otherside of the bed next to the ensuite bathroom, yes there was a window, which had some sort of film on it, so you couldn't see out, and you couldn't open it, the ensuite was quite cramped, and had a frosted door which was off-putting, the storage was a strange fitting with 2 fixed hangers, which weren't really fit for purpose, nowhere to put any baggage, there were two of us staying, but only one towel you couldn't adjust the air con, the TV remote was from another room and wouldn't operate the TV, I did get another towel from reception, and asked for the air con to be adjusted, but it was difficult to tell if it actually was, in the evening we ate at an Italian restaurant across the road, and my partner found that the ladies toilet was bigger than our room. I paid extra when booking for a room with a window, so technically it was correct, but it would have been nice to see out of it, free WiFi was advertised, but in the hotel details it stated that there would be a charge for it. No coffee or tea facilities or drinking water in the room, no iron or hairdryer, no room to put up an ironing board if you wanted to. Overall it was very disappointing, neither of us slept particularly well, and instead of having a relaxing morning before checking out, we left by 7.30am as there wasn't room to do anything in the room or relax properly. If you are a lone traveller, the room set up would probably suit you, but we didn't feel it was adequate or appropriate for a couple, at a cost of £94, not exactly budget or basic hotel …

The hotel was clean and very comfortable. The room was just what we needed for an overnight stay. Ideally located in town centre. Short walk from a lovely park and restaurants.Easy check in, comfortable rooms. Staff are super friendly especially Lorna. A real gem of a hotel for an overnight stay in Ipswich.
