We went to see the game at Portman Road and stayed at the Sorrel Horse for the night. It's an old inn, presumably once a coaching inn, and is in a rural setting. The inn itself is a typical country pub but our room was in the annexe. It was en suite and had all the necessaries, but the bed...

Very disappointed with the food and hospitality on this particular evening. Food was poor, looked unappetising and not heated all through. Staff not very friendly; was not asked if everything was alright and not offered desserts or coffee etc.

We'd never been here before but were encouraged by a 4.6 out of 5 rating from a different review site. Our experience fell rather below this. We were a table of eight on a fairly quiet evening so there was no real excuse for one of our starters to get forgotten, while the rest of us waited - food getting...

As soon as you step inside you get a real feel of a typical real Suffolk pub, the timber, fire place and low ceilings are all fantastic features. A very cosy, friendly and well run pub with excellent home made food.

I've been a couple of times since I moved into the area. I find it a lovely quiet pub , food is great, well priced and arrives very quickly. Very personal service. I particularly like the way they don't have loud music blaring away, so you can have a proper relaxed conversation with friends. So good service, food, easy parking,...

Visited the Sorrel Horse along with a group of friends and we all enjoyed the meal very much. The fillet steak I had was done to perfection and accompanied by plenty of chips, mushrooms & tomato - and a lovely side salad consiting of potato salad, cole slaw and a green salad. Personally, I'd had sufficient to eat with just...

Myself and 3 members of my family booked a table for a meal on a Friday evening. No problems initially, but when it came to the main meals, i had waited 15 minutes after the 3 other meals had arrived. After this time, i went up to the bar and politely informed the lady behind the bar that i was...

Stayed at the Sorrel horse for 2 nights in September. The room was clean and had all the facilities we needed. Breakfast was great, everything you could want on a plate. Dined in the pub one night. Again the food was good and plenty of it. Lots of parking space, large beer garden and friendly staff. Already booked for another...
