PROS: - Steve was welcoming, and went out of his way to help with any questions or concerns. - The room is thoughtfully decorated with many little touches. The bed is comfy too! Strong, good shower. - It is not terribly far from the town center as well, about 1.2 miles, and I

Steve welcomed us at the door and treated us as if we were his friends coming to visit. Our room was clean and comfortable with a great bathroom! He suggested where to eat for the evening and it was a wonderful seafood dinner. Wi-fi was a little weak early in the evening, but

Steve was a very good host and the room was very comfortable. The inclusion of a tassimo coffee machine with Colombian coffee pods was most welcome, as was the multiple television channels available. The free car parking was also welcome

Having been in the hospitality industry for over 48 years i know its important to respond to this review but I urge potential guests to read previous acknowledgements of the hard work that goes into running a small bed and breakfast. I think they speak for themselves. I m sorry this guest did not enjoy her stay .We have cats, we never try to hide this fact, indeed the first thing i explained to this guest that we have two Ragdolls and if this was a problem they were to say. We are certainly not "minimalists " in fact we are most probably " maximalists"..if that is a word, but our guests seem to enjoy the very relaxed atmosphere that Cranmoor offers. Very different from the Chain hotels around the world. Again, I apologize and will try to do better in the future. Just as a little aside....Jan works full time at a local hospital and neither of us consider it important that she introduces herself to every guest. For many of our visitors that stay longer than one night they have commented on how they feel part of the family being invited to join us for dinner, a BBQ or just a glass of wine. Hence the review " home from home " Steve
