We tried to ring the Heathwood to book a weekend away but did not realise that this business is now closed until we rang the Acorns next door. We are so pleased we did as we had a lovely weekend at the Acorns with Rachel & Steve. They are both so welcoming & helpful, the rooms are immaculately clean &...

Stayed for a week whilst on a course. Nice room , tea and coffee supplied and restocked daily. En suite room with bath and a shower off the taps which was hard to regulate but otherwise ok. Good breakfast with a good choice. Lovely owners too. Friendly and helpful.

The Heathwood is a treat from the moment that you arrive. Guests are welcomed in, shown to their rooms which are spotlessly clean, superbly decorated & furnished to a very high standard. The rooms are comfortable & well equipped & the feeling is that every attempt has been made to make your stay at the Heathwood Hotel as convenient &...

I was recommended to this guesthouse by the one next door, which was full, as were practically all the hotels and guesthouses in Poole. I only wanted an overnight stay, so was not too fussy anyway. The room was a small double, and yes, it was small, but Karen had told me that when I booked, and for £40 it...

My husband and I spent two nights here recently and can confirm that it is very good. Our reception was friendly, our room was bright and clean, the bed comfortable and there was a varied choice of breakfasts. It was also very good value. The only drawback is that there is quite a lot of traffic noise untilfairly late in...

We stayed here for 1 night and was a family of 12 so had 5 rooms. The location is on a busy road but that is the only downside, there was ample parking and the rooms were lovely, very clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was included and was lovely and was also able to make a few changes...

I stayed at the Heathwood while working in the area and found the stay to be great, a warm friendly welcome on arrival, which was a last minute find at around 7pm, plenty of options for breakfast which was lovely, and an all round friendly relaxing stay.

I had a double room at front of house. Good size, bed comfortable.Even though on main road, there was no traffic noise at night. Breakfast very nicely cooked. Karen was very helpful and flexible regarding my stay. Couple of tweaks needed, shower temperamental, basin in room impractical shape that splashed on surrounding area, duvet too thin and no spare blankets...

Another visit another room, a cosy little home from home. Clean tidy, super friendly with a breakfast to last until teatime. A short drive from the beach, harbour and ferries. Lots to see and do in Poole and the surounding area.

This is our 3rd/4th visit to Karen and Dennis who always make us welcome. The rooms are cosy and clean and with the breakfast Heathwood is very good value and we are going again. Suits us for visiting family and is a good base for touring.
