The hotel is in a quiet location with onsite parking charged at £6 a day. We booked for 3 nights as a base so we could visit some of the Dorset coast. The booking included breakfast. It was a 15-20 minute walk to Poole Quay/Harbour and with easy access to the local road networks. Check-in was quick and easy and we paid for our stay on arrival. Our room was on the top/3rd floor and was a good size. We were directly opposite the housemaids room/cleaners closet so we could hear them in the early morning, also a corridor/firedoor was right outside which banged when guests used it.
Bathroom was decently clean but had a few cracks in the tiles, plenty of towels and soap, shower gel etc. Wardrobe was just an open space with hangers, there was also a kettle, an iron and ironing board and hairdryer. The room was booked as a double for 2 adults/a couple and there was a sofa (possibly a pullout bed but we didn't need to use it) and a desk chair. TV and WiFi were good. We didn't really have a good sleep however as the mattress dipped in at the middle quite noticeably and the bed felt quite small for a double. Also the aircon kept switching itself on in the middle of the night which was too cold and it made a noise.
Breakfast was nice with the basic options for an English breakfast, bread and toaster, fruit and cereal, hot drink and cold juice options, it certainly did the job to get us ready for the day. The seating area for breakfast had an adequate amount of tables which is next to the reception and had a small bar. Breakfast was served until 10am in the week. It was kept clean and tidy by the staff who were wearing masks. Checkout was just a key drop so it was quick.
If you know what to expect from a Holiday Inn then I would recommend staying here, I don't think there were many other options in the area though. We did think it was expensive for the type of hotel it was (roughly £100 pppn) but think we were paying for its location.

Arrived late Saturday afternoon to be greeted by a helpful receptionist. Breakfast and evening meals could have been better organised. Breakfast Cereals and hot food served together, hot food almost cold. Evening hot food wasn't of good quality and expensive.

On the 2nd 3rd and 4th morning of our stay we Went to Wetherspoons for breakfasts and hot drinks served in proper cups not paper ones. If Wetherspoons can do this then the Hotel can do it, and saves on plastic waste as well.

The room was clean and comfortable.

A short walk into the Dolphin shopping centre with plenty of shops and takeaways.

Will come to Poole again, but not to the same hotel.

The staff throughout our visit were impeccable.. Very helpful and like nothing was too much trouble so Thankyou.
All the set up, screens and signage and also hand sanitizer everywhere.. Brilliant.
The room size was great,, the air con was a dream.. And the size of the sofa bed was great!
We all slept well.. Once we fell to sleep..
The exterior noise really is kept to a minimum, very impressed.. However the interior noise not so much.
We live in a flat so we are used to noise from other areas but wow... I wasn't going to reception to complain, but it was slightly frustrating that a security check of each floor of the hotel wasn't conducted sporadically throughout the night.. We were out until 11.30pm ish so it wasn't like it was early that we were in either.
The shower defiantly could have been cleaner, however we did not want to cause a scene and we just got on with our stay..
I was most unimpressed with breakfast.. Now I understand there is social distancing in place due to covid.. If you are unable to cater for guests.. Then close the restaurant.. I mean, a paper bag with a Yoghurt, croissant, water and fruit juice.. Along with the choice of a very dry bacon bap or a porridge pot.. With help yourself to toast and coffee is not my idea of "continental breakfast and bacon baps" as it was described to me on check in - no choice of cereals or pastries etc. No choices other than tea or coffee, bacon bap or porridge..
I don't feel £87 for the night was particularly cheap, however for the area and the great base it was it was a compromise and having looked at the prices for Bank Holiday weekend, I certainly would not be impressed to pay £640 for 2 nights and receive breakfast in a bag.. I won't be back regardless.. I will stick with Premier Inn.. You know what you get with them! :)

Arrived after a long and tiring journey to be warmly welcomed with a friendly smile. Every member of staff we met, from reception to dining area, was friendly, courteous and efficient. Our room was clean and comfortable but, as always, it’s the staff that ultimately define the overall experience. Excellent!

We arrived for check in behind two young ladies, the man on check-in seemed to feel that it was more important to banter with them than to deal with other guests waiting. He told us that we had been allocated a superior room, with a sense of excitement we opened the door to find a cold room with a small divan type bed. We are not portly but found it a bit of a cramped sleep. The mattress had hard lumps which added to the discomfort. We found that the A/C would eventually heat up the room but had to be turned off at night as it was too noisy. There was no heating in the bathroom and no way of hanging damp towels after a shower. One of the hand towels had a hole in it. The window frame was rusty and had peeling paint. TV Stations were very limited even though it had Freeview. There was very limited storage space and as we had clothes for three nights they ended up stacked where could find space. Breakfast was nice, it was a limited selection, but it satisfied our needs first thing. There was more than one issue (not from us) about the dirty cutlery and crockery. There also seemed to be some odd people wandering in from outside and eating without being challenged. Sunday morning at 7am we were woken by the laundry delivery and the sound of heavy trolleys being pushed around. Paying for parking was no surprise as we were aware of it. On the positive side, its a do-able walk to Poole harbour. The staff were pleasant and the rooms cleaned to a decent standard. We wouldn't stay here again unless the place was treated to some kind of upgrade and when a Superior room is entitled to that description.

I booked two rooms for one night recently and was most impressed with the overall cleanliness of both. The breakfast which was included in the price was very good and I was pleased to have been offered gluten-free sausages and bread.

Later, I enjoyed a G-F soup (tomato and basil) which was excellent.

The service was best of all with Alina (and I believe Larissa) making sure that my daughter and I had a pleasant stay. Well done to both of them.

I would certainly recommend this hotel.

It felt safe staying here under the Current Restrictive Covid conditions, plenty of Sanitizer for use, and all staff wearing masks at all times.
Nice friendly welcome from Reception Staff.
Room 207 was clean and tidy but a couple of stains on the carpet by desk, good spacious bathroom.
Breakfast form needed to be filled in and handed to staff, limited choice due to Covid, could choose from - cereal, yoghurt, fruit, croissant, Bacon or Sausage (veggie) Roll, Tea/Coffee, Fruit Juice, all brought to the table on a tray.
Tables spaced out well for a drink in the evening with table service in bar area.
Car parking was £6.00 a Day with plenty of spaces available.
Short walks to shopping Centre, High Street and Quayside.
Overall a good stay was had.

The hotel from the entrance, to bar area and rooms was all spotless and very Covid aware
You are literally a 5 minute walk from the bus station and town and ten minutes in the other direction takes you to the harbour.
Breakfast was buffet style with sausage, bacon, scrambled egg and beans, a toast machine, yoghurts etc, all hot and edible.
You do have to pay to park your cark at the hotel

The hotel is in a good location only 2 minutes walk from The Poole Lighthouse Arts centre and 15 minutes walk from The Quay.
Like most hotels in popular resorts they have a stealth tax called a car park fee (£6 per night)
Not sure whether it was because I signed up to being an IHG member but the room allocated to us was quite large with a sofa bed that wobbled if you sat on the edge.
Shame about the windows, The double glazed units had failed and were more than misted up. There was an alarm clock radio with no instructions on how to use it hence our clock showed some random time.
Breakfast on morning 1 was pandemonium, A few empty tables of guests that had been used as dumping grounds because they had not been cleared by staff.
The buffet was not replenished on a regular basis and when I enquired about a plate and some cutlery it came from the kitchen still wet, not been dried. Only one of the two coffee machines worked and you only get half a cup. Press the button again and the cup overfilled
Day 2 breakfast was of a similar ilk save for two coffee machines worked but children were allowed to ride round the breakfast room on their scooters unsupervised by parents or requested to refrain from doing so by staff.
The table we sat on was next to a double glazed unit that had a distinctive draft or was it 'forced ventilation' through COVID?
In a nutshell it was clean hotel, good location and price shame about the breakfast and lack of the little things
