It's nicer than the one in town. Quieter and more considerate staff. Better parking and facilities and less drunken hens and stags. So I'm conclusion, better than the other premier inn in Darlington, the one in the town centre, if there is any... that's 200 words.

Stayed here for couple of nights early September. Was very pleased with all the Covid arrangements & felt safe. There's a one way system in the reception & everyone, including receptionists, are encouraged to wear masks in public areas of the hotel. Daily room cleaning has been suspended but clean towels & pillows in bags & extra tea, milk etc are available from reception. There is plenty of free parking spaces in the carpark. The Beefeater attached encourages pre booking but we were given a table we hadn't booked. All tables are well spaced out, new individual menus are given on entry & the staff handle everything they can to a minimum. Overall I would recommend this Premier Inn at this tricky time.

The hotel is beautiful, the outer and inner oak doors open as you step in. Then the lifts take you up and open on the other side to let you into clean, brand new looking rugs adorning the room area. There are spacious lawns and park benches outside where I briefly enjoyed the cool breeze in the evening watching the trees nearby. Just opposite there is a Morrison.

Then the room:- Spacious, clean, comfortable bed, big windows that open to greens outlining a city view. The bath: I have never seen better water pressure pouring from the large shower head. It was amazing! All for £35!!!

The people were the best part. I called in to speak to James asked to check in early. He carried my bags in while I dashed away for Business. In the end, I asked Jane if I could sleep an hour longer, I had been working all night. She let me and called a taxi in the morning.

I have never been happier with a hotel in all of England. I wish I took pictures. I only shot videos and can’t upload them.

I object very strongly to Premier Inn's pricing, especially during the pandemic with an egregious premium for any flexibility. We decided to take the risk of potentially losing money as it wasn't much more than what we would definitely have to pay as a premium. However, this was much preferable as an experience to the Darlington Travelodge we've stayed in previously (chosen because you can have three adults in one room) and the parking arrangements suited us better than the in town Premier Inn. That said, we were disturbed in the night by 'doughnutting' cars in the Morrison's car park across the way and the convenience of the supermarket and fuel did not really compensate. The rooms were overly hot and the fans too noisy to leave on overnight. Otherwise much as usual, in good condition, clean, decent shower, individual bedside lighting and sockets, two pillows per person available in the room without having to trail back to reception to ask. Poor supply of tea/coffee/cups and not refreshed for the second night of our stay.
We hadn't previously been alerted to the need to book a breakfast slot at the time of pre-paying for our breakfast so it was fortunate that we were able to get the times we needed. I felt everything could have been laid out better - for example a single bean to cup machine in a small area with the hot water for tea isn't enough at the best of times, let alone the present circumstances, and the baked goods area should have been set up so that the queue for the toaster was discrete from access to other options. Cooked breakfasts were good and arrived fairly promptly and we appreciated the waitress on our first morning wearing a mask. We didn't eat in the restaurant on the first night as we might have done as the vegetarian options were inadequate.
Signage to find the hotel could be better, but it is a convenient location, including for the brick train sculpture which is well worth a visit.

Dear dirtmother, Thank you for your detailed review. We do have a dynamic pricing strategy that generally means that guests that book furthest in advance secure the best rates. I'm glad to read your stay was mostly comfortable and can only apologise about the heat and the noise from Morrisons. I'm sure you'll appreciate these factors are largely out of our control. Our housekeeping protocol at this moment is to only service rooms by request, so once checked in we do not automatically go into bedrooms. We do have endless supply of tea & coffee at reception. I'll ensure the breakfast feedback is passed onto the restaurant team as well. I thank you kindly for your in-depth review, I'm sure other guests will also find it most useful.

We were in the area visiting the Beamish Museum, and this hotel came up at a competitive price. The car park was busy when we arrived, and still as busy when we left so clearly a well used hotel.

We arrived at the same time as 2 other families so the reception was a little busy. A pregnant staff member who had just been loitering in the reception asked us our surname and booked us in using the computer screen. She seemed very shy and not very customer orientated yet the lady at the reception desk seemed lovely and bubbly with the other guests.

We were given a downstairs family room, which was very cramped with 3 beds in it, but it did the job for the night. The room was very clean, however the beds felt a little damp, not sure if this is maybe something to with Covid-19 safety measures though. The bathroom was spotless except for Henry, a spider, who'd made his home in the corner of the ceiling.

We usually have to go and ask for more pillows but they had 2 spares on the top of the wardrobe in a bag sealed with a tag so we knew they were clean and sanitised. What a brilliant idea and saved us bothering reception.

We heard some noise from the room above us but this soon stopped. I was disturbed by the occasional boy racer car through the night but I am a light sleeper.

When we arrived there was already a fan on in our room and luckily we had brought our own because the room was ridiculously hot and obviously the window was restricted to opening a few millimetres! Despite 2 fans running it was a very hot and uncomfortable night.

We were met by a lovely lady when we left, she asked us how our stay was, and stopped to chat for a few minutes.

Overall we would use this hotel again, but not when it's warm weather.

The staff at Premier Inn (Morton Park) is wonderfully kind and courteous.

Highlights:
I was checked in early, so I could have a place to set my baggage down after traveling internationally
Staff knew what rooms had been cleaned to do so
I was able to add another adult to my room after the fact, at no extra charge
The adult added was male presenting (as I am), and they did not question my decision to continue to stay in a room with a single bed (inclusive)

Not bad, just things to consider before choosing to stay:
Quality of the food available is... edible but not great. If you are a vegetarian or vegan you will find your options here extremely limited
Did not know the room would not have an iron (find a way to press your clothes or pack items that do not need to be pressed)
Many hotels have international plug adapters for charging devices. This location did not, so make sure you bring your own
The outside of the hotel looks extremely weathered, and gives a less than stellar first impression

Overall, the good here outweighs the "not perfect," ESPECIALLY becaus the staff and the cleanliness and quality of the room more than make up for anything that could only be put as a mild inconvenience.

My feelings are this, no matter where you stay, you should always feel welcome and well treated, regardless of the amenities available. Premier Inn (Morton Park) provided me excellent service and a comfortable stay.

Upon arrival my husband and i felt completely at ease and safe. The room was spotless (as always), when we needed clean towels/ coffee or tea it was not a problem and the staff ensured our needs were met. We ate in the restaurant (breakfast and evening meals), again the staff bent over backwards to meet our needs. I would highly recommend Moreton Park to friends and family. We have been using this hotel for 14 years and have never had a bad experience. It was made special as Christine on the reception desk even remembered us from such a long time ago, she also helped make my birthday special (she organised a special table and even put a card and gift there for me). Great team work at Moreton Park, please, please bring back the Hash (I loved it). Thank you all for another amazing visit, we cannot wait to visit again.

My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights here over the bank holiday weekend. We went on our motorbike and used this location as our base. When we arrived we asked the girl on reception if we could have a room overlooking the car park to keep an eye on the bike. Unfortunately they were fully booked and everyone had already checked in so our room couldn't be changed. She did allow us to park the bike in a disabled bay right next to the front door as she said there were no disabled vehicles booked in. This spot was on their CCTV system that they could see from their reception desk, so we were pleased.
When we got to our room it was very clean and had tea/coffee available. I noticed that we only had 1 pillow each (they had removed extra's due to Covid) so I got the boyfriend to ask for more pillows when he went back passed reception to get the remainder of our luggage from the bike. The pillows arrived hand delivered by the reception lady before my boyfriend returned! The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We were told that no staff would be coming in during our stay and that if we needed anything to just ask. We asked for more tea/coffee, and the lady gave us a small bag with ample stuff in it.
It's also in a good location with a Beefeater restaurant next door, and a Morrison's with petrol station across the road. We would stay here again.

We had stayed here before and found it a pleasant place to stay. The last time, when we arrived we mentioned that my wife would prefer an accessible shower, as she finds over-bath ones awkward. Christine, who was on reception, immediately changed us to an accessible room, made sure we had enough towels etc, and couldn't have been more helpful. We were tired after a long journey up from London and we appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness which Christine showed us.
