We were looking to break up our journey to Cornwall and picked the Mount Somerset Hotel off the internet due to its handy location off the M5. Our expectation was a quick dinner and a comfy bed, but we got so much more. This is a beautiful hotel in wonderful surroundings and has so much to recommend. All the public...

My wife and I stayed here as an anniversary treat to each other. Our room was fabulous - spacious with its own patio area and hot tub. The hotel is an impressive Regency building and the spa and gym facilities were pretty good too. We had the gym to ourselves but it is is relatively small if a number of...

From the moment we walked in we were welcomed to a very beautiful house! Our luggage was taken up to our room and waiting for us as we had a look around the beautifully kept gardens. Once in the room it was spacious, up to date and full of luxurious extras! We'd booked for dinner that evening so made our...

My partner and I stayed overnight in chedzoy room and had a spa treatment each. From the moment we stepped into this fine establishment we were made to feel very special! The quality of service and standard of food here is to be fair, the best I have ever encountered! Spa facilities are fabulous!

Had a Buy a Gift voucher for afternoon tea for 2. I was given a gift that was not suitable so paid extra to upgrade to this one, so don't know the actual cost. The price on the menu was £37 for 2 and as such didn't really represent good value for money. The atmosphere was nice and the balance...

Stayed 2 nights at this luxury regency hotel recently and found the food and service to be very good. 3 course meal a la carte was delicious but unfortunately the main was only warm and was served on hot plates. Some of the staff need further training ie when presented with cheese the waitress was unsure on the names of...

I recently treated myself to use the spa facilities at the hotel when staying near the area and had ordered a high tea. I really enjoyed my time in the spa though the facilities are indeed very small, but since I had gone there on my own, there was very little competition to use specific facilities and I found myself...

This hotel is situated in top of a small hill and so, offers some fantastic views of the landscape around, if the weather is good. The room I was staying was huge and I especially liked the big bathroom. The gym was reasonably big and would be 3.5/5. The spa facility was excellent as well but would be 4/5 because...

What an incredible gift. My daughter took me to Mount Somerset for afternoon tea and it was fantastic. I've booked to take a friend on her 60th birthday soon. I cannot comment on the rooms as we live in the area so would not need to stay overnight at the hotel.

We regularly visit this hotel with my elderly mother. The ambience is good and nice airy and well decorated small hotel surrounded by pretty grounds and easy parking. The food is always good quality ingredients well prepared. I took my mother yesterday to the Mother's day event for lunch. It was buzzing (nice to see) and had a lovely ensemble...
