Having found ourselves temporarily “ homeless “(our property sold but our new home not ready ), we booked into Mill Meadow at very short notice. However, we very quickly realised it was the perfect place to relax and recharge our batteries after a stressful week ! Kingfisher Lodge was comfortable, welcoming and extremely well equipped. The beds and quality bedding ensured a good nights sleep , although the owls hooting is not something us “townies” are used to !! The selection of local produce ( especially the cider!) was well received and the hot tub was a lovely outside addition. Dogs are welcomed with open arms with dog bowls and lead provided. The lake was picturesque surrounded by spring flowers, as was the local area. Although we live only a few miles away in Taunton we discovered many new “ doggy walks “ which were just delightful. All in all we really enjoyed our enforced holiday and came away refreshed and chilled!

Unfortunately our trip has been cancelled due to the new Welsh government guidelines but I wanted to write a review to highlight how fantastic the customer service is at Mill Meadows. They have been so helpful and so efficient which has has been such a pleasant surprise at this difficult but busy time. We will absolutely be rebooking our trip with them once all of this is over.

We are so disappointed we are unable to warmly welcome you this month, but fully understand we all need to stay safe. To write a review for us even though you have not as yet visited is amazing and we are so thrilled to receive it, thank you so very much. Happy Christmas to you both and stay safe.

We stayed at Swallows Barn for October half term week. 4 adults a 6 year old and a dog. The lodge was smaller then the others but worked out really nicely for us. The two bedrooms are decent sized with ensuites. Downstairs is all open plan and nicely set out. The hot tub was a bonus. Although it's at the front of the lodge and not enclosed in, we didn't feel uncomfortable with this as the area was nice and quite. There's also enough parking for 3 cars Infront of the lodge. Brilliant place if you have a dog. The site manager and wife are really lovely people and very helpful. Lovely touch was giving my son a pumpkin on our last night 30th October. He was really happy with that so thanks.

Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback following your autumn stay. We really appreciate your kind and generous comments especially about our customer service and the cottage. We are adding a willow panel to the garden to help with privacy. We love the local dog walks, so are delighted you did too. We look forward to extending our warm welcome again in the future.

This time we stayed in Robins rather than Heron Lodge. Amazing lodge, very clean and the site manager has been amazing, he probably felt like he was on holiday with us all the help he gave. Our hot tub didn’t work and the tumble drier was gone as it had a fault, Chris got a dryer for us and spent all week trying to sort out the hot tub. During this time he made sure we had use of hot tubs from lodges that were empty, and spent much time sorting ours. The surroundings are quiet and so well kept, we missed the lovely fluffy white towels we had before, not their fault as the regulations to do with the virus. Lovely to see the birds and a pheasant visit sometimes, nice and warm with the underfloor heating and all the needed kitchen utensils which many places fail to have. Certainly I have no doubt we will be back again to holiday, you won’t find more attentive staff to sort things out for you if needed and we were very grateful for this. This is a holiday site whose staff go above and beyond, even driving some time just to get a hot tub part in. Clean, cosy with such well designed lodges to choose from and lovely to see the lake too. A holiday here you certainly will enjoy, and it comes highly recommended. Wifi is great which was such a relief as I was getting orders from my online gift shop whilst away, kept everyone in the family happy having good wifi. Thank you so much Mill Meadow, keep up the good work, there is nothing you can improve on as your site is perfect in every way.

We have just arrived home after a week in Woodpecker lodge. The property is immaculate and well equipped, the hot tub was checked twice daily, we had no problems but there is someone onsite all the time if you needed anything. There are some beautiful walks around the area and a lovely lake on site. It is only ten minutes into Taunton which has plenty of supermarkets, would highly recommend we are already looking at dates for next break, thanks to Suzanne and Chris.
