A group of 7 of us girls stayed in the Heron lodge from 1st-3rd November 2024 for 3 40th Birthdays, and what can I say we had an amazing weekend! Communication before arrival with Suzanne was brilliant, her attention to detail is fantastic. On arrival we were let into the gated area and had a short drive to the lodge. The key was locked outside of the property and we were given a code prior to arrival to retrieve it. Once inside we had a key fob to open the main gate to let the rest of our guests in. We had booked a Tesco grocery a week before arrival, and they found the lodge easily and arrived within the timeslot. Suzanne had left the birthday girls a card, flowers and some fizz which was so lovely! There was apple juice and milk in the fridge, as well as tea, coffee etc and even some delicious home made flap jacks! The hot tub was a dream, 38-39 degrees always and was checked on twice a day! The place was spotlessly clean, with all the mod cons dishwasher, washing machine/dryer at your disposal (dryer was perfect for towels and swimwear post hot tub!). We had a 1920's theme on the Saturday evening, and the lodge provided a perfect back drop! We also had a private chef come in to cook dinner for us all (massive shout out to Chef Matt at Dine Indulge who cooked an insanely amazing 3 course meal!) Overall the lodge and surroundings were perfect! Already planning our 2025 trip! Thank you Suzanne and the team at Mill Meadow! x

2nd time back this year and stayed at Woodpecker Lodge. Overall an amazing place to stay and the lodge was next level, hot tub and sauna was a must to relax and as always was greeted and looked after by Suzanne and Chris during our stay. Taunton is only a 10min drive away and if you don't want to cook then Just eat deliver to this location. The bonus now is that Mill Meadows has now opened up a walk through to the Village Spinney which is great for walking your dogs.

We are so delighted you choose to return this year and try Woodpecker Lodge. Great to hear you loved the lodge and had a wonderful time relaxing for a few days. Lots of guests now enjoy our new pathway to access The Spinney where our doggie guests can run freely and then take the easy stroll to the village and The Swan. Thank you so much for your positive comments regarding our customer service, as a family business this really does mean so much to us. We are sure others will find your feedback helpful. Best wishes and look forward to helping you book your next stay at Mill Meadow. Suzanne and Chris

My friends and I selected Mill Meadow for a long weekend to celebrate several of us turning 40. We were a group of six ladies sharing the lovely Heron Lodge. We had more than enough space, the hot tub was well maintained and regularly checked throughout this day, the owners were away but made sure to check in with us to make sure we settled in without being intrusive. There is a great pub, just a 10 minute walk away. We didn't do any fishing but the lake on site was a lovely edition and was very pleasant to look over on the balconies. Due to the weather, we didn't make use of the barbecue, but everything we needed was provided just in case. Overall Mill Meadow lodges are a perfect location for relaxing breakaway with friends and we will return!

Have just returned from a short break in the Goldcrest two person lodge and would thoroughly recommend Mill Meadow. It’s a good set up with many positives. A very good secure location in a quiet secluded spot, but just five minutes from the delights (sic) of Taunton and under 50 minutes from the beaches of Minehead and Weston-super-mare. Comfortable clean lodges equipped with hot tubs arranged around the central lake. Goldcrest is just right for a couple with a central bedroom with large king sized bed, small functional kitchen and bathroom with walk in shower unit. Very good service levels from the owners Chris and Suzanne with very good communication both before and during our stay. Unfortunately the Goldcrest hot tub broke down just before our stay but we were allowed to use the one in the larger lodge behind us, which was unoccupied for our visit. The lake is a very picturesque spot to sit and relax even if you are not into angling. If you are then it’s great for youngsters as it’s full of small roach and perch that are easy to catch. Its also stocked with some sizeable carp and tench and apparently also chub. I struggled with the carp as we were blessed with hot sunny days and they were more interested in sunbathing than eating. But did pull out some decent sized tench when I managed to get past the small stuff. The village pub, the Swan at Kingston, is highly recommended, as is the walk through the fields from Mill Meadow to get there. The pub food is very good, but phoning ahead to check its on and to book is advised.

We saw availability for new years eve become available for House Martins and we decided to go back to stay at Mill Meadow again after our last stay in October in Heron lodge , On arrival House Martins is a lovely cottage so warm and welcoming and perfect for the 6 of us and our dog All 3 bedrooms are a good size with comfy beds and the spa bath is lovely and relaxing. The hot tub is well looked after by Chris and you felt safe using it in covid times We walked with our dog daily to the spinney which isn't far to walk from the cottage and was a safe area to let our dog off lead. We all had a truly lovely time together again at Mill Meadow and we can't wait to return. Helen was so helpful sorting out our check in

We stayed at Mill Meadow for valentines and we could not recommend this place enough, it was so peaceful and relaxing. There are many walking spots around, to which we had a long walk around the Quantock hills, where the views were amazing, you could see the sea! We also popped into the local pub which was nice and only a 10-15 minute walk anway and the shops are also not too far away. The lake added a sense of tranquility, there are benches around the lake for you to take in the scenery and relax. The lodge was extremely clean, warm and they’re well closed off in the sense of privacy, the lodge also had everything you needed. The hot tub was also nice and warm, perfect for the cold season!
Communication was 10/10, Suzanne stayed in contact from the moment we booked the lodge all the way after we left. Her hospitality was amazing, and she was very helpful throughout all of this. Thank you!
We really would recommend staying here!

Our getaway at Mill Meadows was lovely. Staying in the cosy 'Goldcrest' lodge, it was a great base for exploring what Taunton has to offer. Suzanne was very helpful in helping us arrange a pilates session and massage, and we thoroughly enjoyed visiting Hestercombe Gardens. Thank you for a great trip.

We have just had a wonderful weekend here for my husbands birthday. The lodges were beautiful, so well kept and so clean, and we loved the addition of a Christmas tree in each, which made it feel so cosy. The owners were very welcoming and provided us with all the information we needed. I cannot fault anything and would definitely recommend and stay here again.

We spent six nights at Mill Meadow over New Year and were absolutely delighted: the house was comfortable, stylish and very clean and the lakeside location was beautiful and peaceful. The location within easy reach of all the best walks in the Quantocks was ideal. A highlight was lying back in the hot tub after dark and listening to the owl hooting nearby.
