Stayed 21st Sept for 2 nights in Room 114.. Pros - Easy check in and lovely clean room with modern furnishings flat screen TV and comfortable bed. Bathroom very nice but could do with some additional hooks for residents own towels/dressing gowns. Excellent location on South Parade opposite crazy golf. Although no hotel parking there is the Arcadia pay and display on Drummond Road behind the hotel which cost us £9 for 24hr parking for 7 days which is a great saving. Cons - No lift so if you have mobility issues try and book direct so that you can request a ground or 1st floor as the stairs are steep to the top floor. Room quite dark as located at the back of the hotel and no view but good lighting so didn't bother us too much. Hotel No 8 owns Wolfies bar and restaurant next door and would be an idea on their part to include breakfast in the price for their guests or a discount on meals eaten in their restaurant/bar. The toilet in the bathroom is extremely close to the sink so was awkward at times but guess these have to go where the plumbing allows.
Overview-before we went I read alot of negative reviews regarding hot stuffy rooms, noisy fans on the roof of the pub behind the hotel and banging doors and paper thin walls. These reviews put me off a little but I needn't of worried... My experience was that the fans were a low hum that I could barely hear but this could've been as we were on the top floor, the rooms could be warm but a decent tower fan is provided in the room and yes you can hear the doors bang when others leave/enter their room but that's because the locks are card operated and the doors soft close but bang when it shuts and locks. If guests hold it while it closes gently it doesn't bang when it locks. I have enjoyed my stay, would visit again but book directly with the hotel to get a room on a lower level.

Booked to come last minute to the hotel with my cousin and his partner. Two rooms were booked which were a superior single and a deluxe double room.

First impressions of the hotel were very nice this was because of the exterior and reception area which were both very modern and fresh.

The rooms we’re contemporary, Including the essentials such as toiletries and a refreshment tray. Hairdryers we’re also provided and the rooms had smart TVS.

All three of us said that the rooms were on the smaller side and also very hot! However very clean which is l important.

The two receptionist we came into contact with were friendly and helpful.

A little added bonus was the discount voucher we were provided with for WWB next door. However, it’s pricey for the quality of food you get there. Still nice touch.

Thank you for a pleasant stay, we will return in the future.

We stayed here for two nights, the rooms are modern and have a lovely vibe to them. However if your planning to have a good nights sleep don’t bother. The beds are rock hard. Also we thought we would have problem from the pub next door but we had no issues at all being at the front as well. It was the Saturday night we had issues with the people above decided they wanted to bring everyone back to there hotel room, bang, scream and shout. It was like having a heard of elephants upstairs having laminate flooring/vinyl upstairs should not be a thing! They should definitely have someone working on the reception at night keeping an eye on things. they give you a mobile number of someone on sight if anything is needed while the reception staff are out but this doesn’t stop people from coming who are not staying there.

It was a lovely place but it’s very backwards on how it’s ran.

If you planning on wanting a party with no supervision definitely book it.

With a great location a lovely hotel very quiet even sea view rooms lookinv o to the road. Very clean and quite large all rooms have en-suite facilities. Rooms are all coded key cards (£5 if you loose it) the front door is also codes using your room card to enter. The rooms are equipped with a kettle cups all coffee tea and hot chocolate biscuits and shortbread, nice bits and bobs in the en-suite. The beds were clean and plenty of pillows. There is an iron and ironing board to use just ask at reception. The receptionist was very helpful and polite

Room was a bit small but suited us perfectly for 3 nights. Got to hotel 1hr before check in. Room was ready so had early check in (bonus). Arcadia carpark 2mins walk £9.00 for a week. Both receptionists were helpful with any questions. If you have a blue light card take it 10% of food and drink at woolfies next door, everything was spotless. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for a lovely break and organising the sunshine xx

Great location. Checked in for 2:30pm. There is car park for £4 for the day a few hundred yards further South along the seafront, however we were lucky and found a free parking space. The hotel is beautifully refurbished. Everything is quality. Great tea/coffee making facilities, you even get aero hot choc and a nice selection of quality biscuits. The room and bathroom were spotless. We had a great view of the Aquarium and Big Wheel. Very close to restaurants, bars, shops.. Absolutely perfect!

We couldn’t find fault with this spot, perfect location for us visiting the theatre as only a short walk!! Absolutely spotless throughout, fresh white crisp linen, free toiletries and tea/coffee, rooms are quite small but adequate with hanging space for clothes.
We had to park on the street and didn’t struggle due to the time of visit but there is plenty of car parking close by if in the height of the season.
Would definitely stay again for a short period

We arrived early and asked if 3 rooms were ready, the receptionist checked and we were in our rooms the check in was quick. The rooms 2 Superior rooms and a double deluxe were all clean and adequate for what we needed. All had tea and coffee and hot chocolate a nice selection of toiletries. All rooms had a large TV on the wall and all were en-suite. The deluxe double was the smallest of the three room for the price it was OK the superior rooms were quite a bit larger. The keys for the rooms also open the front door when it's closed. There was also a vending machine in the reception area. Only down side for me was the duvet was quite heavy

Great location right on the front and really near the aquarium which we were visiting for the scuba diving.
Lovely clean room which had recently been decorated.
Girl on reception was really helpful with recommendations of where to go.
Shame no breakfast included and could hear people moving around the hotel/talking in the room next door but it didn’t affect us too much.

Disappointed. The room was spacious and clean with a sea view and the staff friendly and a great location but unfortunately that's where the praise ends. The bathroom was very badly designed, you virtually had to climb over the toilet to get to the shower. No storage space apart from a shelf and a rail built into a recess and the noise OMG people constantly tramping up and down the stairs (which I know is essential) but it seemed to be the same people every 5 mins as they werent quiet about it) and I'm sure the people in the room above were herding elephants across the room all night not to mention someone banging on the front door to get in,In the early hours of the morning (even though everywhere shuts at 10). This was our first and last visit here. Not one of cheapest of hotels and very far from being one of the best.
