Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We always stay at the Premier Inn because the staff are so helpful and we know exactly what to expect and we get a good night's sleep. The young men on reception Jamie and veno were so friendly despite being busy and nothing was too much trouble they gave my elderly disabled parents an adapted room and everything was perfect and very clean thanks to Vicki

Hotel's Favourite
The hotels location is perfect for me while visiting the area. The rooms are a good size with very comfortable beds, and everything you would need within walking distance. The food in the Beefeater is to a good standard with plenty to choose from. The stand out point of my trip was how pleasant and professional the staff are at both the hotel and Beefeater next door. Highly recommended with a ten out of ten.

We arrived & were greeted by Steve on reception who was so charming, helpful & most informative a true credit to the brand. We only had two issues & that was no internet on both basic & payment options i was informed it was work in the area which for us was OK but if dependent on the internet may have been a problem. Thanks to everyone who were so helpful. Once again second Premier Inn we have stayed at with stairs up to the restaurant/pub, or go outside which is OK if not pouring down.

This is my third time at this particular hotel, and my umpteenth in Premier Inns around the country. The hotel was as good as ever - comfortable room, friendly and efficient staff. I honestly don't know why people go to more expensive places!

Very disturbing we stayed here recently and was shocked at the state of our room and the surroundings of the building we found numerous faults which could be easily solved by means of basic maintenance ie screws missing on coat rack, a rusty waste bin, mold on numerous bathroom tiles, basic cleaning, dirty interior walls, basic hygiene of staff it all can be rectified by inserting basic discipline, we are regular visitors of premier inn hotels but this one you must avoid one example for reasons why as because whilst we were eating our poor breakfast a member of staff was placing the rubbish out for the bins then on her return she went straight behind the hot plate to carry on her duties to serve food without washing her hands totally unacceptable we shall never return to this hotel or even suggest mentioning to our friends and family

Just a one night stay in the location we were visiting, and it was very good value for money. Frendly and informative receptionist. Room very spacious, clean and comfortable. Just what I usually expect and find at the Premier inn. Restaurant attached which offered a good selection of food in a good atmosphere. Good service and food very hot when served.

Definitely below average for a Premier Inn. I stay in them frequently for work and this has come in second to last place. The hotel itself is quite run down. The stairways were in dire need of meeting a hoover! Inside the room it wasn’t as clean as usual. There was (first time I’ve seen this) a wee card asking for a review with the name of the person who cleaned the room - so here goes, Olga. You need to get some bleach down that toilet. It looks fine looking directly down on it but stand in front of it and look and it’s decidedly black along the waste pipe. Yuck! The shower needs to be cleaned including all surfaces. Having someone else’s hairs left there is not nice! And you definitely need to get acquainted with a scrubbing brush - especially between the shower tiles and around the plug holes in the bath and sink!!! Oh - and one of the pillow cases was on inside out. On the plus side it’s a handly location, easily accessible and has the usual comfortable Premier Inn bed. The plumbing makes quite loud clicking noises and the noise of doors banging in the corridor was not conducive to a good night’s sleep. Maybe new hinges are needed to help the doors close more quietly? Oh - and the water pressure in the shower wasn’t the usual great Premier Inn experience, it was about half the usual pressure. Poor. Not a hotel I’ll be keen to return to!

Great family stay over the weekend for a sports competition in nearby Sheffield. We got checked in nice and quick, and the receptionist managed to book us a table in the restaurant for our evening meal and breakfast in the morning which was very helpful!

The hotel is well placed for the competition I’m involved with and was easy to access. The room was clean and spacious and the food portions were very good! Jamie on reception was very welcoming and happy to help which put us at ease. The value of the stay was excellent.

The room was clean, warm and comfortable and we had everything we needed for an overnight stay. Remember to take body lotion and tissues though as these are not provided. We slept well in the large comfy bed and enjoyed watching the rugby on TV. We had a friendly welcome and the staff were helpful when we needed to check in early. Breakfast was good, filling and very tasty. The staff were very pleasant and service was excellent. This was our third visit and we would happily return next time there is a family event.
